BATMAN v SUPERMAN And JUSTICE LEAGUE Scribe Has Reportedly Rewritten THE BATMAN

With Ben Affleck deciding to step down as the director of The Batman, it now appears as if the filmmaker has also decided to take a step back in terms of serving as the movie's co-writer as well...

We've known for a while now that Ben Affleck was writing The Batman alongside Geoff Johns, but Deadline reports that screenwriter Chris Terrio has just completed a rewrite of that original script.

That makes sense considering the fact that neither of the movie's original scribes
are first and foremost movie writers and despite the mixed response to Batman v Superman, Warner Bros. clearly has faith in Terrio following his work on Justice League. Affleck also has a history with him after they worked together on the Oscar-winning Argo and he specifically brought him in to polish up Dawn of Justice.

Should we be worried, though? Probably not. 2016 was a rough year for Affleck after Batman v Superman was savaged by critics and Live by Night underperformed both at the box office and in terms of reviews. Just starring in The Batman takes the pressure off in a big way, but with him no longer directing or writing, the movie we thought we were getting could prove to be something else entirely...

I know ppl hate BvS, but i also know that even the haters (not the trolls tho) liked BvS' script!
And i'm one of them!
I mean just take the infamous Martha scene that ppl like to joke about...
The IDEA behind that scene, what it was meant to be...it was BEAUTIFUL.
But.
Shitty execution. Snyder's fault no doubt.
BvS had arguably one of the best incipits/general plot/whatever of any cbm, sooooo i guess what i'm trying to say is: I believe in Terrio, and i'm in.

Also no Snyder so... :D

@Doomsday8888 - I mean the dialogue was at times really good, but also at times terrible. Lex's rooftop speech: "You will battle him! To the death! Fight night!" So cringe.
And the story and motivations were terrible.
Snyder and Terrio are both to blame in my opinion.
