During a brief interview for his new show Person Of Interest, HeroComplexThe Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises. Find out what Nolan had to say about his brother's Batman universe finally coming to an end.

On what to expect from “The Dark Knight Rises”:

"There’s a little team of Warner Bros. ninjas that follow me around. If I open my mouth, they’ll be like, “Quiet!” and pop! A little poison dart."

On the franchise finally coming to an end:

"It’s bittersweet. It’s been the last nine years of my life. It’s very exciting, and we’re happy to be finishing the story, but I’m going to miss that character. I’m very excited to have been building this kind of universe that we’re all putting together in New York. I think it’s very distinct from the Batman franchise, but it has a couple of elements in common, so I’m excited to be able to continue telling these stories."

The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to hit cinemas July 20th, 2012, and will feature an all-star cast that includes Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman Marion Cottilard, Anne Hathaway, Josh Pence, Tom Hardy, Morgan Freeman & Jospeh Gordon Levitt.

I still think there's a huge set up going on behind the curtains for a team up movie of some sort and Nolan's behind the whole thing

maybe a JLA movie, personally i want just Batman/Superman

@JackDexx So, you basically want to see all the Batman cartoons that you can watch right now, but with Jon Hamm as Batman. Cool, man. Good luck.

@JackDexxx: I thought you were going to "leave the site and never come back.." No? ok :p
jk, welcome back bud

@ironman53: Nolan made a smart choice not connecting his films with the other WB DC movies. WB wanted Nolan's batman franchise to be connected to Green Lantern!
Imagine that shit! lol

I'e enjoyed nolan's batman but his take is dark and bleak. I would actually like to see the arkham game brought to life.

@LogicError, Funny that your name is that, there is an error in your logic. B&R and BF are campy shit, Arkham Asylum and City are amazing, better than Nolan's bleak and boring take.
@aussienwo8, Yeah instead of being immortal, he was just a crazy ninja guy WOOHOO

Arkham City is the perfect example that Batman can be extremely dark (at times darker than the movie) but still be like a comic book. The movies went from one extreme to the other. From extremely goofy and ridiculous to extremely dark and serious. The video game is the middle-ground.

Ninjas use poison darts? I thought that was a voodoo pygmy type weapon.

Interesting fact; Int he Kingdom of the Krystal Skull, right after Jones snow balls the tiki man and saves Sam, they exchange dialog in which Labuef's mouth moves and nothing comes out. Or is it Ford? Either way, someone should be fired.

After The Dark Knight Rises WB better order a pine box, because no one follows the killer. That means hell no to a reboot.

"...so I’m excited to be able to continue telling these stories."

Is it just me or is he hinting that there may be a sequel he is sort of involfed in - even though his brother may not be directing it?

Good times. I'd like to see TDKR first before placing my opinion on where they should take the franchise.

Not really excited for the reboot. I like when Batman is primarily focused on the mob and the "freaks" are red herrings or monkey wrenches thrown into the equation.
