Batman actor Ben Affleck has taken to Instagram to announce that he's completed treatment for alcohol addiction. This was the third time the Justice League star checked himself into rehab (the last time was in 2017) but as he notes down below, "Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment."
With any luck, Affleck will now be able to return to being a filmmaker because movies he directed like The Town and Argo were nothing short of fantastic. It's fair to say that most comic book fans are obviously more concerned about whether or not he'll end up playing Batman again but we're still no closer to knowing whether he'll be suiting up as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves' The Batman.
Regardless, it's great to hear that Affleck is doing well and it's awesome to see him reach out to fans like this to thank them for supporting him during what was clearly a very difficult time for the actor.
