I don't think Nolan is nearly dumb enough to make the same mistake as Schumacher.

Why'd you put a picture of Ben Affleck in Reindeer Games?

It's just too much to fit in one movie. They need to take their time with it; Grayson is complex and I would like to see the character developed. Also, Robin needs to be 14-15 so he's not too young but not too old to where he can be an equal to Bruce. You also get the older brother/ Guardian feel to their relationship. Levitt is too old to play Robin. This is all mute anyway as Nolan isn't going to intro Robin like that. If he did it would be a kid that he adopts, leaves it open for the future. It would have been cool to have Two Face kidnap Barbara instead of Jim Jr, now you have motive for a side kick.

He is NOT Robin, there WILL NOT BE A 'ROBIN' IN THIS BAT-FILM FRANCHISE.....Hasn't Nolan & Bale said that enough for you people in the last 6 years? Because I remember Nolan & Bale stating that from almost day one.

As you can see from my avatar, I'm a fan of the character, buy honestly people- time to get over it.

If anyone in the Nolan universe would be Robin it would eventually be Gordon's son. Think about it. He was personally saved by Batman. He was there when when Batman sacrificed himself to make sure Dent was clean. He was confused as to why Batman would be the bad guy and why he would be chased. I can just picture him going home that night and idolizing Batman to the point he starts training himself and eventually works himself into Batman's sidekick. It would be just the twist to the regular Batman universe created already. Instead of Gordon's daughter becoming Batgirl, you have his son become Robin.

Just my humble (and most likely wrong) opinion.

He's just a cop.. This is just speculation, but I think he is following around the Tumblers because Bane has put Gotham under his own martial law, and the cops team up with Batman to stop him.

The whole idea of him playing Robin is just stupid.

polls polls and more polls.

he is not playing robin. silliest poll of the week.

but IF robin were to be in this film it would/should be how suede said it. i thought that when i first saw TDK.

but it wont happen. and doesnt need to. let nolans bat flics stand by themselves then hand it over to Supes for the next 5 years.

Does nobody check IMDB? lol He's going to be John Blake, an invented character from Nolan, "A Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon"-Nolan himself.

@Superman 8 - As soon as I saw that scene and noticed they made sure Gordon's son was asking questions to side with Batman, I thought for sure he would be Robin one day.

SPOILER

He's playing a cop working for the League of Shadows. He gets shot in the head and dies.

He's not [frick]ing Robin. Nolan has said multiple times that he will not put Robin in his movies. Why is this even an issue?

@ handsomedevil

people don't check IMDB because its pretty much the most unreliable site on the internet if you want info about movies that haven't come out yet.

There should have been an option for 'Plays a vigilante similar to Batman'. Even if he is gonna suit up and fight crime, it doesn't mean he'll be Robin. He'll either be the new Batman, or Nightwing or something less homoerotic than Robin.

Normdog - 9/6/2011, 8:41 PM
I don't know why, but I'm thinking Nolan is going to have a surprise in the film. I think we'll be seeing Robin or at least Dick Grayson in TDKR.
