The Batman Part II Set Video Reveals Best Look Yet At The Sequel's Ferocious Batmobile

New footage from the set of The Batman Part II reveals our best look yet at Bruce Wayne's Batmobile, but has the iconic vehicle changed since the last time we saw it unleashed in Gotham City?

Cameras are rolling on The Batman Part II in Glasgow, Scotland, and the Dark Knight's Batmobile has just been spotted. Revealing our best look yet at the vehicle, the video below confirms it hasn't changed much, if at all, since 2022's The Batman.

This isn't hugely surprising, of course, as only several weeks or a few months at most will have passed since the events of the first movie. Based on the glimpse we've had of Robert Pattinson's Batsuit, the only alterations are similarly minor.

Given that this is an R-rated franchise, it's not hugely surprising that there's no pressure on filmmaker Matt Reeves to make anything we see in The Batman Part II more toyetic.

Still, while a short time has passed in-universe, by the time this sequel opens in theaters, nearly six years will have passed since we sat down to watch The Batman. With DC Studios' The Brave and the Bold stuck in limbo, there's a lot of excitement to see Bruce Wayne back on screen, so chances are this follow-up will be a huge hit despite delays.

With any luck, more photos and footage from set will follow this latest sneak peek. Whether we'll get any spoilers is another matter, but characters like Batman, Catwoman, and The Penguin were all revealed in 2020 while The Batman was shooting in Scotland.

In June, Pattinson talked about his preparation to return as Batman. "I just heard from the stunt guy the other day. He said, 'Ooh, 11 weeks of nights.' I’m like, 'Excuse me?' I’m like, 'No one’s even sent me a schedule,'" the actor recalled, confirming that he's hitting the gym to play Bruce Wayne again.

Admitting that he made a mistake by "trying to sound cool" in interviews when he said he hadn't worked out to play Batman, Pattinson remembered everyone saying, "'You didn’t work out at all,'" and added, "I worked out every f***ing day. Even after that, I still look like I didn’t work out. I worked out twice a day at, like, three o’clock in the morning."

We don't know much at all about The Batman Part II, including who the movie's lead villain is. Current rumours point to characters like Two-Face, Victor Zsasz, and Poison Ivy factoring into the sequel, and even with The Court of Owls now in the mix, it's likely to be a while before we get official confirmation.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script by him and Mattson Tomlin, The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry.

The Batman Part II is set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2028.

It's a lot more Batmobile. I like it.

Hoping this is good. Feeling pretty discouraged about DC today :/

@SeeYouIn2036 - Feeling discouraged because the DC dropped a great pilot episode today? Huh

@tmp3 - I get that some people liked it and that it's a follow-up to that True Detective show or whatever, but I personally found it extremely boring, the characters unlikable, and I'm not at all interested in a DC Universe without Hal.

We cancelled our subscription to HBO last night. I'm feeling pretty down about the whole thing, which I honestly think is what the showrunners intended. Probably going to read some old pre-Emerald Twilight comics today.

@Nonameforme - Your crowd is so weird. You call the Snyder guys culty, but then you try to tear down anything DC that isn't a part of Gunn's upside-down continuity.

@SeeYouIn2036 - I don't care who makes what, and I'm not part of a team. It's gonna suck because the 1st movie sucked. Batman 66 rip off for the shoe gaze crowd.

If Pattinson joined Gunn's DCU, the difference in his Batman would be like seeing the first Monsterverse Godzilla movie with Bryan Cranston and then seeing Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

@IAmAHoot - I really don't understand how the Monsterverse movies nosedived like that. It went from Cloverfield to Transformers The Last Knight

if gunn was in charge of the batman he wood have killed the Batmobile in the first episode
SeeYouIn2036
SeeYouIn2036 - 8/17/2026, 11:08 AM
@harryba11zack - They actually did do a show on the CW where Batman dies in the first episode. Gotham Knights. They didn't even let them finish making the first season before they canned it.

@SeeYouIn2036 - that wasn't his show. Now you're talking out your ass.
"The series was developed by Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux, and it existed independently of the DC cinematic universe managed by Gunn and Peter Safran."

It is a little better. Emphasis on the word little. It is still a steep decline from Nolan's Tumbler and Snyder's Batmobile.

@bobevanz - I agree but I have to begrudgingly admit it might be ever so slightly better than Nolan's. I don't know I go back and forth. As I like to state if I were coming under heavy fire I would rather be in the Tumbler. If I was chasing down a criminal, I would rather be in Snyder's Batmobile.

The first movie was terrible and I'm expecting this one to be just as bad. A self serious parody. No different from Gunn's Superman. Just reheating Nolan's leftovers with a longer, boring runtime and a idiotic Batman and a terrible Alfred.

Reboot the MCU and DCU

@FireGunn - You seem to hate everything from Marvel & DC but then glaze absolute bottom of the barrel garbage like Batman v Superman. Make it make sense.

I’m glad that the Batmobile doesn’t seem to have changed much if all honestly…

It’s probably my second favorite live action Batmobile behind Burton’s.
