Lego Batman has found its Batgirl!

In a move that will only add on to her already illustrious CBM career, Rosario Dawson has signed on to voice Barbara Gordon a.k.a. Batgirl in Warner Bros.' upcoming The Lego Movie spin-off. She joins an impressive cast that already features Will Arnett (Arrested Development) reprising his role as the Dark Knight, Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as his sidekick Robin, and Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover) as the villainous Joker.

This will be Dawson's latest foray into the CBM genre after her role in two Sin City movies, voicing Wonder Woman in DC's animated feature Justice League: Throne Of Atlantis, and voicing Artemis in DC's animated Wonder Woman film. In addition to those roles, she also currently stars as the Night Nurse on three of Marvel's Netflix series: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, & Luke Cage.

Chris McKay (Robot Chicken) will direct the project with a script from Seth Grahame-Smith (The Flash). Original Lego Movie directors, Phil Lord & Christopher Miller are on-board as producers.

The Lego Batman Movie hits theaters February 10, 2017

Actors are actors. They don't play the fanboy game.

So Rosario likes to swing both ways?

I'd rather have news about a Batman Star showing up in Daredevil.

And now that I say it...I see the Batfleck connection.

@LEVITIKUZ I actually thought that was pretty funny.

They probably dicided that in the middle of Daredevil production because one episode she's becoming an important character and BLAM the next episode she disapear ?!?!?

She did a better job as Wonder Woman's voice in "Atlantis" than Michelle Monaghan in "War"

She has a nice voice, so yay! Bigger yay for having the whole of her in the Marvel Netflix shows! :D

@0megaDaGr0dd yeah it started as a joke but still she disapeared quite quickly but @Jeight have the explanation and it falls not far from what i said :)

Not sure if we know wether her character will be in Jessica Jones, but I think she already made an appearance in the prequel comic:

Why is she so fine

@Kyos

I read it too and i think its definitely her. I wonder if the comic is any indication if we'll see Daredevil have a SMAAAAAAAALL CAMEO ON Jessica Jones.....i think he'll definitely be mentioned or shown in a newspaper but I wonder if his actions will impact Jessica. Or if Punisher's will as well.

That Darkseid is way too tall.

Thing I hate most about New 52 Darkseid.

@ComicsBornAndBred

He'll definitely be mentioned. A cameo (but imo not more than that) would be so cool!

Trance is her best performance ever. Watch it if you don't know why.

That chick they cast as Elektra doesn't look Greek. She doesn't even have a mustache let alone a full beard. Maybe she has a bunch of back hair to make up for it.

I like that a lot from the New 52

@KryptonianBorn

Some polish fan-art is my guess.

I never liked it. Darkseid shouldn't be a giant.

Prefer JLTAS Darkseid

Or Superman/Batman Apocalypse Darkseid

Or Mignola's Darkseid

Great addition to the already good cast. I hope that they don't go with an all-black Batman suit or give Robin the hairstyle, or even costume, he has in the LEGO games.
