Ever since the announcent of the standalone Martin Scorsese-produced Joker film was announced, it was met with a lot of skepticism. Even when Oscar-nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix was rumored to be in consideration for the role, the reception was still lukewarm.

YouTuber, Solyentbrak1 recently posted a video taking all rumors and elements from Killing Joke into account in a tragic, epic fan-made trailer depicting how the Joker came to be.

The Untitled Joker Movie is rumored to go into production this summer with director Todd Philips (War Dogs, The Hangover), produced by Martin Scorsese (Goodfellas, The Departed) with a script by Scott Silver (The Fighter, 8 Mile).

Even if it is a well crafted origin story, I would rather they did not make one for the Joker. WB should have simply recast the Joker from the Dark Knight films and moved on from their. Charlie Hunnam, would be a fine replacement for Heath Ledger.

Ehh...
The way it was edited was nice and the tone would work.
But still... what's the point beyond "ooh, more money please."?

Best fan trailer I’ve seen. Joker and Two Face are the only two DC characters I like, so I’d be up for this over another DCEU movie any day. Joker is always more interesting than Batman anyway. Just not a batman guy, but damn his villains are kickass.

Solyentbrak1 could sell me on anything. His fan-made trailers for BvS back in 2013 remain better than the movie itself

Everyone knows that the Joker's true identity is really Alfred. Alfred was a secret agent of the League of Shadows to keep tabs on the growing wealth and influence of Thomas Wayne. He orchestrated Bruce's parents death in an attempt to groom Bruce for a leadership role in the League of Shadows. But once Bruce vowed to fight crime and injustice, the League found out and tortured Alfred physically and psychologically. Alfred was near death when he figured his only way to live was through the rejuvenating powers of the Lazarus Pits. But Alfred was unaware of the Pits' full potential or the necessary rituals for rejuvenation and he nearly drowned in the pits. But he arose from the Pits crazy, deranged, and with chalky white skin. He fled the League of Shadows base of operations and headed back to Gotham under the guise of the Wayne's old faithful butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Unknown to Batman, the Joker and Alfred are one and the same. Alfred has total control over his "normal" and "psychotic" sides of his personality. He also possess super human regeneration abilities.
