It's been quite a couple of weeks for first looks on CBM. And by far some of the most exciting reveals came with the official releases of the following teaser trailers.

The teaser for Christopher Nolan's Batman threequel was criticized for using a little too much footage from the previous movies, but the new stuff packed an emotional wallop along with a great final shot of Bane advancing on Batman.

This teaser certainly showed us that Marc Webb was going for a different tone with his Spider-Man reboot. Some nice shots of the main cast and some first person web swinging. But did we see enough to of Spidey himself?

TDKR ftw. The trailer makes me so excited. Spider-Man not so much.

Marvel and DC are going to own the summer box office.

I was very surprised at how much I liked the Spiderman trailer, but gotta be Bats.
Ra's dialogue, the music behind Gordon's speech and seeing him like that, and the last shot.. F**k.

Saw it in cinema n nearly dropped my popcorn from shivering.

Spiderman- they actually showed a hell of a lot more than TDKR

Oh look...another DC vs Marvel poll...... :-|

For what it's worth, I feel like The Dark knight Rises will be the better film. I know some Marvel Fanchildren already have their minds made up that Spider-Man will be a Masterpiece....even though they HATE when that sort of hyperbole is applied to The Dark Knight....

I cant wait for the Amazing Spiderman but when I was at the movies during Captain America and they showed the Spidey trailer there were some people sucking their teeth. They were pissed that Spidey was getting rebooted. I never took in consideration what the general audience is going to think about the reboot.

I liked both but am a bigger Batman fan. I will go see both of them. If I sat through Jonah Hex, GI Joe and Green Lantern may as well sit though these.

ASM for sure. I seriously need subtitles for TDKRS. "What if he doesn't exist anymore?"-followed by a shady clip of someone doing push-ups. lol What's that supposed to mean??

ASM actually addresses Peter's parents leaving. That opening alone made me extremely excited. With the many people that died in Spidey's early run, people keep forgetting that his parents when he was only 6 was his first tragedy. The first deaths he had to live through and the people that died could not have been closer.

The Batman backing away Rocky style with the chanting got me.
I like that I got to see Parker's parents in this 7th retelling of the origin everyone already knows. And that we will get the Lizard we should have gotten in Spider-man 3.
They should do Spidey like Bond movies now. Just move on with a new story we get it,bitten by Spider, Uncle Ben ,great power .... WE GOT IT show us new things not seen on screen before!

TDKR was very cryptic, building my anticipation, truly a teaser, but the re-imagined Bane is not a recognizable figure as The Joker was so I wished we had gotten more on what threat Batman would be facing. However concluding the story is an exciting notion.

For that reason, TDKR's trailer wins. For Spidey, the tone reassures me that it will be a great flick, just not anticipating it as much.

Not trolling or anything but I didn't like either of them. I'm sure the movies will be awesome but these teasers didn't get me any more excited than I already was. With TDKR I honestly couldn't hear the Gordon which frustrated me to no end. In a series where everyone has complained about mumbled lines and terrible delivery you'd think that the trailer would feature nice clear lines. And as for Spider-Man this one is just personal, I'm getting a kind of Twilight vibe from the movie. Totally not the teasers fault but again this is my opinion. Also I'm not the biggest fan of the first person swinging (Probably because I love Mirror's Edge and this just reminds me that game is not getting a sequal lol)

Just the 2 second clip of Bane walking Towards Batman is enough to say that trailer is better...

Im not hatin on Spiderman at all.. Im just upset that this remake still looks just like Raimis special effects team.. The FXs are still not 100% convincing to the eye.. The Buildings & background while Spiderman is swinging around still looks like a awesome good video game graphic instead of looking like real life.. The fx's look good but not as good as if it would have been done by a FX company like "Industrial Light & Magic..

Either way, The Dark Knight rises will crush the competition.. In Nolan I Trust...

they were both good but i gotta say after the spidey trailer in the theaters ppl were like WHAO that was good what the hell happend to toby? i laughed but either way both films will be good and both will prolly break alot of box office records cuz thier BATMAN and SPIDERMAN most likely they will be better than the avengers, dont get me wrong but the avengers is going to be a popcorn flick with butt loads of action, spider-man and batman will have good acting and very compelling stories cuz thats what the directors are known for:)

I liked them both except the 1st person (ASM) and the re-used footage of BB and TDK.

Definately TDKR...it made me curious and wanting to know more, the fact it had very little new footage didn't phase me at all since they had barely started shooting the damn thing, I'm amazed we even got some footage of Bane/Bats in action as it was!

I'll give the Spidey movie a chance since he was second fave comic book as a kid but the trailer did very little for me, it looks too much like they are doing a redo of his origin less than a decade after the Raimi one, the tone feels too 'Batman Begins' which I think is wrong for a Spidey film, and if there's a lot of that 'first person' webslinging footage it is gonna look awful without 3D and to me gives the movie a computer game feel, which is not what I ever look for in a movie.

I liked The Amazing Spider-Man's trailer more since it was all unseen footage. A bunch of re-used footage, mumbled dialogue, and a glimpse of the villain just didn't cut it for me.
conformist21
conformist21 - 7/24/2011, 9:06 PM
this is stupid, this relates to which one you want to see, in reality the Spider-Man has an UNFAIR advantage, it's a full trailer while the batman is a teaser. Spidey shits on batman here.
Give us a batman full trailer and we can judge better
