Will Cillian Murphy Return As The Scarecrow In TDKR?

Will Cillian Murphy Return As The Scarecrow In TDKR?

Just a rumor for now, but several different eyewitnesses claim to have spotted the actor on the LA set, and we even have a possible scene description detailing how he may fit into the story..

Now get your pinch of salt handy, there is nothing to suggest that these accounts are legit. The reason I post it as a rumor is that several different people have claimed to have spotted Murphy on set around the same time of shooting and the following two accounts also link up. Still, with no hard evidence we can't know for sure but at the rate photos are being leaked from that set it shouldn't be long before we find out one way or the other.

The first account is from Magnusrex..

Cillian Murphy is returning in TDKR. You can see him at Union Station in Los Angeles, but at least that's where I saw him earlier on my way back home from taking spy photos.

I couldn't take a picture of him because there are a ton of security guards, but he's definitely there.

You can take this as 100% legit fact.

Scarecrow is in TDKR.

He was wearing a black robe, probably to disguise his suit underneath.

The next is an excerpt from a very detailed scene description posted over at the TDKR Facebook page. Apparently the scene takes place at Union Station and involves a Judge of some kind handing down sentences to various "criminals". Bane is mentioned, as is Harvey Dent although the context is unclear. At one point Jim Gordon and Miranda Tate are brought before him and he asks them to choose "death or exile".

It appears that exile means walking a dangerous frozen river on the outskirts of Gotham. Which would coincide with the LA River scene filmed with Gordon and his men tip toeing awkwardly in the leaked video.

Oh P.S.

Judge's identity: JONATHAN F#CKIN CRANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cillian Murphy is back with a bang!

You can read the full account HERE. Some of the details and dialog make me wary, others seem like they could be legit. But I think the similarities in the different accounts make it at least worth considering. What do you guys think? Confirm or debunk below.

From the teaser poster this may be lightly based off No Man's Land. The skyscrapers falling apart as if Gotham has suffered a massive earthquake.

Plus, with this new information, if there is this scene where the Judge is giving people like Gordon and Miranda Tate Death or Exile options I have a feeling the final shot where batman is sort of backing up is part of that somehow.

Whoever is standing in the back is probably a bane Merc holding his rifle up as to give Batman no other option but to fight no matter his state of exhaustion. Man. July is going to be here in no time and I look forward to it. This will "top" TDK in upping the ante but I'm not comparing since they are all part of a larger story which will be revealed once this comes out.

Batman, Bane, Selena Kyle, That hover batwing thing, The completed Batcave,Roland Dagget Industries, etc, etc.. As long as batman gets his ass whooped at least once I will be pleased.

Love Scarecrow and love Cillian Murphy as an actor but Im against this. Having Scarecrwo in all 3 movies while Joker (for obvious reasons) is only in one make Scarecrow look more like Batman's archenemy. Besides his story was wrapped up in the beginning of tdk. The way I see it, if no Joker, No scarecrow. It almost feels like villain royal rumble with every nolan villain appearing from the series except the most important one. So no Scarecrow I hope.

Scarecrow is still alive in Nolan's universe, why wouldn't they bring him back? He was definitely my favorite villain from Batman Begins. It's a shame Nolan didn't make him the main villain, I think he could of held a movie on his own.

Maybe scarecrow's responsible for Venom.

Broken out of Blackgate then uses the Leagues resources to get a great chemistry set.

Nolan did say his all star cast would return for TDKR. I already assumed Murphy was returning, and this seems pretty legit
