Michael Shannon Talks More About His Ghostly Role In BATMAN v SUPERMAN
Michael Shannon has being going back and fore on the exact role he's set to play in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with many fans believing that he'll be transformed into Doomsday. Well, the actor has now provided the clearest explanation yet about General Zod's return...
It's been rumoured that Michael Shannon's General Zod will be resurrected as Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for years now, and the Man of Steel actor appeared to confirm that when he talked about wearing flippers on his hands during filming. Of course, those comments - which received widespread media attention - must have got him in hot water with Warner Bros. as he later came up with a very lame excuse as to why he said that and claimed to only be making a cameo appearance as a ghost...something which doesn't add up considering that we've seen his corpse in the trailer! Well, when Cinema Blend caught up with Shannon recently, he had this to say about his Batman v Superman role. "Yeah, I say some stuff. But not a whole lot! I mean, I am dead. [Laughs] … I’m just like a ghost. It’s kind of like Russell Crowe in the first one. Jor-El. For some reason, these Kryptonian spirits, they linger. Even once you crack my neck, you can’t shut me up." I'm not buying it, but who knows! There is after all plenty of evidence that Doomsday won't be in the movie, so we may just have to wait and see on this one. Thoughts?
