My source, General Napier, has informed me, Matthew Goode recently had a meeting with Warner Bros. executives to discuss a role in Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman/Batman film. As for which role? That was not disclosed.

In the past, Goode was one of several actors on Warner Bros. shortlist for the role of Superman in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, that eventually went to Henry Cavill ("The Count of Monte Cristo"). And this isn't even the first time Goode's name has been linked to Batman Vs. Superman. Last August, The Hollywood Reporter reported Goode was in contention for the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne, which eventually went to Ben Affleck ("Argo").

Goode previously worked with Zack Snyder on the 2009 adaptation of the classic comic, Watchmen. Currently, the English actor has a recurring role on the CBS hit-drama, The Good Wife.

Snyder will direct the film from a screenplay written by David S. Goyer, from a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder. Zack Snyder’s Superman/Batman film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film will also reunite “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, and also stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman/Batman film which will now be arriving in theaters May 6, 2016.

Played a decent villain. Watchmen was the only thing I've ever seen him in. Don't know who the [frick] he'd play... I could see him as Brainiac...

Interesting. Honestly I wasn't a big fan of him as Ozymandias and I think he's better suited for a villain, he's got the height he just needs to work on the build to be along the lines of Cavill and Affleck. Although it's probably unlikely, could see him as our new Hal Jordan/Green Lantern (Or possibly Kyle Rayner).

After playing Ozymandias, I think playing another comic book evil genius would be a bit cliche for him. Certainly would be predictable.

I doubt he's Luthor.

Also would definitely be disappointed if Goode ends of playing Lex. Joaquin Phoenix was practically born to play the part, and he's got the right age, look, and acting style to pull of a menacing Luthor that'll work well opposite Affleck and Cavill, as well as version of the character different (And in my opinion) then any we've seen in past Superman films.
