What need would there be for a giant Superman statue? I have a hard time believing metropolis would want to put one up of the guy that helped destroy their city....

So if there is a statue then it's gonna have to be at the end of the film.

He stopped the world engine and killed Zod, therefore everybody who's alive is alive thanks to him. That's enough reason for a statue. But no, I don't buy the statue idea because, at first sight, it suggests that Superman has been somehow accepted, and I think the whole point of Dawn of Justice is to show Superman struggling to overcome the divided opinions that humans have about him.

Just a clay model. If it's really from production, I wonder if they're really going with the bigger "S". It's a lot more Alex Ross style.

Tell a real reason for superman to have a new costume when his suit was specially for him (even if it didn't make sense in the movie).
Same with Thor being on Earth.

Its just one of the many suits on the scout ship that landed on Earth many years ago. One of the few things that really didn't need explaining if you actually watched the movie. Pretty sure there were about 6 people on the ship so i guss a minimum of 6 suits are on that ship.

I want to know where he will get this suit from? Will he come across another Kryptonian spaceship? Will Kara Zor-El give it to him? Because from the Man of Steel comic it shows she would exist in this universe. So I want to see a reason he will be sporting a new look.

That's one big statue....the arm is bigger than the person crouching underneath.

Guessing built as a "Thanks for saving the world"

And why the suits would be different?
Bekss
Bekss - 5/27/2014, 11:54 PM
bluedude

I'm not talking about the meaning of the suit but the reason of it being there. But I don't want to talk about MoS now or start a flame war or something.

I don't think they need an explanation if it's a small change, you just go with it. But if it's a substantially different costume, they need an excuse. They have a problem because they destroyed the scoutship/Fortress, which is where the costumes came from. They could say there was another scoutship/Fortress and find a way to make Clark being able to enter it without his command key. Or they just could say that he saved some things from the scoutship because he doesn't want to fly half a world everytime he needs to get a costume, so he brought a few versions with him. Easier and makes sense, no need to lose time giving an elaborate explanation to a triviality.

@Koolaid- If a guy saved the whole planet I'd damn sure put a statue of him up. A city being destroyed instead, is a small price to pay...

Well the scout ship crashed, but it might be salvageable and it would be awesome if in his attempts to boot up the ship it loads up a damaged or primative OS called Brainiac, which starts infecting the Earth etc.

His suit wasn't a plot hole... It was just a suit on a ship, which was under Jor-El's control so he either selected a suit that had the house of el crest, or he had it made.

Jeezus...keep it simple morons.
Why the fvck do these movie morons got to complicate the costumes?

The first Amazing Spidey movie had a horrible suit..they realized it too late but the new suit is perfect.
Superman has a clean simple look..Do that not this mess.
