Following release date delays for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Black Adam will be the only DC Comics movie hitting theaters this year. While there is some excitement for the film, the trailers haven't exactly blown fans away, although one aspect of the Warner Bros./New Line superhero adventure that has gone over very well are the costumes.

The outfits donned by Hawkman and Dr. Fate, in particular, have impressed, and star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has now taken to Twitter to share a new poster for the latter.

This take on the mystical hero is described as the "son of an archaeologist who was taught sorcery skills and given the magical Helmet of Fate." The role marks Pierce Brosnan's first foray into the superhero world. In addition to his iconic take on 007, he's appeared in the likes of The Thomas Crown Affair, the Mama Mia! movies, The Matador, The Ghost Writer and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

Check out what we assume will be the first in a series of Black Adam character banners below.

"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge (City on a Hill, One Night in Miami) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life, Rush Hour 3) as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari (Murder on the Orient Express, The Mummy) as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell (Voyagers, Trinkets) as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui (A Million Little Things) as Amon, and Pierce Brosnan (the Mamma Mia! and James Bond franchises) as Dr. Fate.

Black Adam will be released nationwide on 21st October 2022 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
