Empire Magazine has revealed two new covers for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a sign (we hope) that a new trailer for the Marvel Studios movie is imminent.
The first puts the spotlight on Angela Bassett's Queen Ramonda, Letitia Wright's Shuri, and Tenoch Huerta's Namor the Submariner, while the exclusive subscriber cover features a stunning design by production designer Hannah Beachler. That's Namor's headdress created in a collage that is constructed from imagery that inspired the look and feel of the sequel.
Based on past experience, next week will see the release of new stills from the movie and we're guessing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's second trailer is incoming (we're honestly surprised it wasn't released in time to play in front of the Avatar re-release). Whether that will be the same footage shown to D23 attendees remains to be seen.
However, a very good quality leak of that preview is currently doing the rounds on social media alongside Loki's first teaser. We won't be sharing them here, though look hard enough and you should be able to find them relatively easily!
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje, fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.
As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.
The movie arrives in theaters on November 11.
