BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER Funko POP Gives Us Our Best Look Yet At The New Panther Suit

A new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Funko POP has been spotted in the wild, and it gives us a pretty good idea of how the redesigned Panther costume will look in the upcoming MCU sequel...

Funko officially unveiled its first wave of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever POPs earlier this year, but a new addition to the line has now been spotted in the wild, and it gives us our first proper look at the new Black Panther costume.

This is (presumably) the suit that will be donned by whoever ends up taking over the mantle from T'Challa (the late Chadwick Boseman), and while we have caught glimpses of the design in LEGO sets and the like, this gives us a much better idea of how the outfit will look in the upcoming sequel.

As you can see in the link below, the gold details on the mask match the accents we saw on the lower half of the costume in the final shot of the trailer.

Possible spoilers ahead.

At this stage, it seems pretty obvious that Shuri (Letitia Wright) will become the new Black Panther, but it has yet to be officially confirmed. There's always a chance the movie will surprise us and have a different character step up, but T'Challa's little sister seems like the safest bet.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11.

Looks feminine. Is this a spoiler?

@Spagett - looks feline, now that’s a spoiler, I thought this was Black Anteater

It doesn't necessarily confirm Shuri, but the suit absolutely has a feminine feel to it. The dots on the mask and the flourish in the chest area specifically. Hypothetically it could still be Nakia or Okoye, but Shuri absolutely has to be the front runner here.

@mountainman - in the trailer at the end it s Shuri. The arms on the costume are replicas to her panther gauntlet guns.

@mountainman - She's literally been confirmed as Black Panther on the LEGO set.

What exactly are you trying to argue here?!

@kylo0607 - I haven't heard any official confirmation and even the article implies that its unknown. Lego sets aren't cannon. Look I think its more likely her than anyone else, but its not confirmed by Marvel yet.

@mountainman - it's Shuri.

@mountainman - Denial. It's Shuri

@mountainman - Yeah, I was going to say that if you look at the flourish stuff in the chest area, it definitely looks like it's intended to kinda work around a women's breast area and accentuate that, as female superhero costumes often do (not that I'm complaining mind you). So I'm definitely leaning toward SOME female being in that costume.

@mountainman - Aside from what the others are saying, look at the dots on the mask. Same exact pattern as her face paint from the first film.

It’s Shuri, and is the most logical choice, even if the comic precedent wasn’t there.

@DTor91 - I get it. It’s basically guaranteed to be her. It just hasn’t been confirmed yet. That’s all I’m saying.

@mountainman - I fully expect it to be Shuri, but I was kind of hoping for Nakia. I just really like Lupita Ny'ongo and I feel like she's a safer bet and stronger actor to carry the franchise

She’s a badass. I know marvel is in full pander mode but she is still a smoking hot, principled bad ass. Im onboard with her for those reasons

@JobinJ - loved he stance on the vaccine. She took a lot of heat for it. She went her own way in Hollywood on something. Takes guts.

@bobevanz - Why on Earth would you assume it’s political? I didn’t vote for Trump either time and I’m a proud pure blood. Recovered from COVID in 24 hours like all healthy people do.

@MosquitoFarmer - I was recovered after 24. I was testing every day before i left isolation and tested negative after about 3 days. But I only felt bad for one. Very similar experience to what other healthy people have said about the newer variant. It’s basically a mild cold for most.

@Supercat6376 - @bobevanz - Why is everything spun into politics? There's more to life than that. A lot more. This is like acting you're in tribes or something.

@Variant - politics coming for the left has Balkanized the US. Unfortunately when that happens everything becomes political.

Also, I'm fairly confident that Attuma will be the catalyst that leads to Namor wanting to attack Wakanda under some false pretense. Then Namor and Wakanda will team up to defeat Attuma and the "bad" Atlanteans. I hope its more complex than this, but I feel like the plot will take some variation of this.

Would be nice if Okoye and Nakia could get there shot in the suit. Would be a cool thematic touch if the women closest to T’Challa, the ones who helped save him in the first film and make up his circle of trust and love, all carried the mantle together.
