Disney Reveals New Release Dates For BLACK PANTHER 2, THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, ROGUE SQUADRON, And More

Following yesterday's Investor Day, Disney has now announced a slew of release date changes. There's nothing here to get too upset about, but Marvel Studios has again been hit by some delays.

Thor: Love and Thunder, which was previously set to be released on February 11th, 2022, has moved to May 6th, 2022. Black Panther 2, meanwhile, shifts from May 6th, 2022 to July 8th, 2022 (it was confirmed yesterday that there are no plans to recast Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa).

Finally, Captain Marvel 2 has also slipped down the calendar, moving from July 8th, 2022 to November 11th, 2022.

There's good news for Star Wars fans, though, as Patty Jenkins' Rogue Squadron has officially been slotted in for a December 22nd, 2023 debut in theaters.

Other noteworthy changes relevant to CBM are listed below:

The King's Man - March 12th, 2021

Raya And The Last Dragon - March 5th, 2021

Free Guy - May 21st, 2021

Encanto - November 24th, 2021

Turning Red - March 11th, 2022

Lightyear - June 17th, 2022

Those last few movies are coming our way from Disney Animation and Pixar, and most of those are just taking the place of "Untitled" releases from the studios. Overall, these changes are ones we can live with, though we're definitely hoping there are no more changes to Marvel's Phase 4.
