You may not have heard of Crazy Days and Nights, but the website is reportedly owned by a Hollywood lawyer who frequently leaks information about actors and movies (a lot of which has been proven to be accurate in the past). Now, the site has shared a huge Black Panther II rumour.
We know that T'Challa won't be recast following the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman, but rather than putting Erik Killmonger, M'Baku, or Shuri (a definite fan-favourite choice) beneath the Black Panther helmet, it seems Marvel Studios may have plans to introduce a whole new character.
"Which foreign born breakout star of that period streaming show is the early frontrunner to play this Marvel superhero? It will be an entirely new alter ego character, not the one portrayed by the recently deceased actor," the site teases, before adding that they're referring to Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page. Like that popular Netflix series, he's been making headlines for weeks now.
There are those who believe he would be a perfect James Bond after Daniel Craig, but becoming the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new Black Panther is arguably an even bigger deal.
Who could Page's new character be? The obvious suggestion is Kasper Cole; created by Christopher Priest and Dan Fraga, he's best known as White Tiger, but has also held the Black Panther mantle. The child of an African man and a Jewish woman, Kasper could fill the void left by T'Challa, and Page definitely feels like a good fit for this version of the Black Panther.
Plus, it would be pretty cool to see this on the big screen, don't you think?
