Michael B. Jordan Sees BLACK PANTHER As A Chance To Make Amends For FANTASTIC FOUR

Michael B. Jordan played Johnny Storm in the critically panned Fantastic Four and he's revealed in a new interview why he's looking at Black Panther as a second chance in the comic book movie genre...

There was a lot of controversy regarding the casting of Michael B. Jordan in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot and while he ended up being a, well, fantastic Johnny Storm, he was let down by an otherwise terrible movie. It scored 9% on Rotten Tomatoes and was a box office bomb, marking a bad career move for all those involved and a project it seems they'd all really rather just forget about now.

It didn't take Jordan long to return to the world of superheroes, though, and he'll actually play a supervillain when he suits up as Erik Killmonger in Black Panther (reteaming him with Ryan Coogler).

During a recent interview, Jordan was asked if he was hesitant to return to the genre and made it clear that he views the Marvel Studios movie as a chance to get it right after starring in Fantastic Four

"Zero hesitation to do another comic book movie. I guess I got brought in later in the game because that was the natural process – we and Ryan still talked everyday, and I still, still kind of in an unofficial capacity, had always been part of it. No hesitation, really, to do another comic book film. I’m a geek, I love this world, I love being able to play in that fantastic kind of space. I looked at it as another shot to get it right, to do it again, and especially teaming up with [Director of Photography] Rachel [Morrison] again and Ryan, it’s a very comfortable space with me. It’s the perfect space for me to take another risk like this, so it was no hesitation on my part."

Are you looking forward to seeing Jordan back in action in a world of superheroes for Marvel's Black Panther? Do you think he'll be an effective villain as Erik Killmonger/Golden Jaguar? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on his Fantastic Four remarks in the comments section down below.

Really looking forward to this movie and its different feel, Marvel are great at keeping things fresh. Still not sure of the new costume, always felt it looked inspired by DC Superman's Batman v Superman costume and Empire confirmed that in their latest issue. Just loved the Civil War costume, although a costume doesn't make a film, but can take you out of it, like Caps suit in the Avengers!!

He was really irritating in that movie. And not like Johnny Storm irritating but just straight bothersome for the audience too. Like him as an actor in general though and this is most likely a step up.

As he should. It's like Chris Evans said, Marvel doesn't miss so this is less of a risk than taking something from Fox.

I've liked Michael B in most of his movies even that awkward moment. I hope he delivers here. In an odd way I feel like his character resembles his creed character.
