After accepting the Generation Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards tonight, Scarlett Johansson shared the first official clip from Marvel Studios' Black Widow.

The sneak peek features an adrenaline-pumping action scene as "sisters" Natasha Romanoff (Johansson) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) take a minute to bond while narrowly evading some baddies.

The clip isn't particularly revealing, but does feature some fun banter between the pair as Yelena proves to be a pain in Nat's side as she pokes holes in her escape plan.

Cate Shortland (Berlin SyndromeLore) directed the long-awaited standalone, and in addition to Johansson and Pugh, the film's ensemble cast will introduce several new characters into the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, including 2x Primetime Emmy-nominee David Harbour (Stranger Things; Hellboy) as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Academy Award-winner Rachel Weisz (The Favourite; The Mummy) as Melina Vostokoff, and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid's TaleMaxxx) as Rick Mason.

Black Widow arrives in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9.

In Marvel Studios’ “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—the action-packed spy thriller launches simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on July 9, 2021.
