Another trading card from Topps' Black Widow tie-in set has been revealed, and this one provides us with a new look at Scarlett Johansson as The Fallen Avenger, Natasha Romanoff.

Although this movie has been confirmed to be a prequel (Widow met her maker in Avengers: Endgame, after all), there's a lot of speculation that at least part of the story will play out post-Endgame. Romanoff is not expected to be resurrected, but many believe that Florence Pugh's character Yelena Belova may end up taking over the Black Widow mantle.

That remains to be seen, of course, but we do fully expect Cate Shortland's film to serve as a fitting sendoff for the character one way or the other.

Check out the card below along with the previously released ones and let us know what you think.

Natasha Romanoff

Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, for what will almost certainly be the last time. The character can be seen here in her new costume, batons at the ready.

Yelena Belova

Florence Pugh will play Belova in Marvel's first (and most likely only) solo Black Widow movie. She has previously gained acclaim for her performances in the likes of WWE wrestling biopic Fighting With My Family and Ari Aster's Midsommar.

Taskmaster

We still know very little about Taskmaster or how he'll factor into the plot. It's believed that O-T Fagbenle will play him, but that has yet to be confirmed and could simply be misdirection. One outlandish theory claims that it might be Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton under the mask, but that seems more like wishful thinking to us

Black Widow

"In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—hits U.S. theaters on May 1, 2020." --Marvel Studios."

Black Widow also stars William Hurt, Ray Winstone and Olivier Richters. The movie hits theaters on May 1st. Check out the recent extended teaser below, and let us know if you're looking forward to the movie in the comments.

@Bluesman - Captain Marvel 2 seems like one of the last places you’d introduce Wolverine.

@Bluesman - Cosmic Book News was the main source of that news. They’re a Comicsgate click-bait site. Their “news” is all fabricated.

@TheUnworthyThor - Coming from Feige, it seems like a very smart thing to do. Captain Marvel may had some mixed bag to say the least.

Weird way of spelling "Shi'ar General Gladiator" but I'll take it

@SonOfAGif - Perhaps he would. Cavill could play anything beside Superman.

@OmegaDaGrodd - that would be cool too. Like I told @SonOfAGif, he could play anything but I definitely wouldn't mind Henry as Wolverine. This stellar actor deserve a better treatment than the WB handled.
TheUnworthyThor

@Bluesman - I wouldn’t say that, it got a good CinemaScore and made a 1.1 billion dollars, I imagine they have plenty of confidence in a sequel. And come on a movie that is probably largely space based is going to be the movie you introduce Wolverine of all characters? If you said Nova or Quasar or Gladiator okay...but Wolverine?
LongMayHeReign
LongMayHeReign - 3/2/2020, 3:04 PM
@Bluesman - If you are referring to Black Panther and Spider-man then yes they do debut characters in smaller roles, but only in films that make sense. BP and Spidey are both very grounded characters and were introduced in a very grounded film. Captain Marvel is a cosmic character whose adventures take place in space, whereas Logan is another grounded character so I don't see the fit at all. Marvel is more likely to have Wolverine debut in his own film or D+ show rather than in the sequel film of a character whom he does not have much interaction at all.

Also assuming is going to debut in that films means they would have to explain how mutants entered the MCU in first place before he shows up. It's just way to convoluted for it to work with him in CM2. Feige, tho is willing to put out weird concepts also like to keep it simple enough so the GA can follow it, this is a step to far imo.
Bluesman
Bluesman - 3/2/2020, 3:09 PM
@TheUnworthyThor - That's true and I couldn't agree more. But perhaps Wolverine may be a possibility that he could be assigned by Shield for some circumstances degree as an associate or other situation. I mean who knows what's up in Feige's sleeves!

@LongMayHeReign - If the rumor becomes a reality despite the cosmic news, maybe there could be a potential explanation if that happens. Who knows! I agree, Wolverine is a very grounded character, I assure you on that but he had experience traveling in space from comic before.
Bluesman
Bluesman - 3/2/2020, 3:26 PM

LongMayHeReign
LongMayHeReign - 3/2/2020, 5:20 PM
@Bluesman - Feige isn't gonna have Wolverine's first MCU appearance be in space, that robs him of the build up to that moment, which is what made it so amazing seeing Cap experience that journey finally.
