Black Widow was supposed to be released in theaters last May, but for obvious reasons, that didn't happen. Now, the Marvel Studios movie will be released in theaters and on Disney+'s Premier Access service this July (which is one heck of a delay for what was meant to be Phase 4's opening chapter).
It's been a good couple of years since the movie was shot, but The Direct claims to have learned that former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko will appear in Black Widow in a "limited" role.
The Quantum of Solace and Hitman star was once a fan-favourite choice to play Natasha Romanoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and while there's no word on who she might be playing, we'd be willing to bet it's Black Widow's mother. If we don't see a flashback to a young Natasha's life, however, then here's hoping Marvel Studios has slightly bigger plans for Kurylenko in the MCU.
Remember, she came close to playing Wonder Woman before Gal Gadot landed the role, and while it feels like it's been a while since we've seen the actress in anything big, Kurylenko is someone who could bring a lot to the MCU. Heck, for all we know, she could be behind Taskmaster's mask!
Who would you like to see Kurylenko play in Black Widow?
