No, STRANGER THINGS Star David Harbour Isn't Playing The Thing In BLACK WIDOW

Thanks to the Disney/Fox merger, Marvel Studios now has the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four and speculation is running rampant about when those characters will start showing up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. One of the weirder theories doing the rounds is that Stranger Things star David Harbour is playing Ben Grimm/The Thing in Black Widow

This started shortly after Harbour said that the movie is "a thing" that he's doing and, for reasons which aren't entirely clear, that was taken as a sign that he's actually a member of the Fantastic Four!

It would certainly make sense for a younger Ben Grimm to potentially appear in the spinoff, but in the video below, the actor explains that no, he's not playing The Thing, and "I just use the word 'thing' in my vocabulary a lot." It's a shame because Harbour would actually be an excellent casting choice for this character, but it seems as if Marvel is dead set on taking its time introducing the team.

Are you guys disappointed that the actor won't be joining the MCU as Ben Grimm?
