Black Adam has had a more protracted journey towards production than most, but we've been hearing that filming is scheduled for sometime in April, and star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has now confirmed that cameras are set to roll in about 3 week's time.
In an Instagram post, Johnson gave fans a glimpse of the first page of the script, highlighting lyrics from Johnny Cash's classic tune "Man in Black." The actor feels this song represents who Black Adam is, and says his antihero will soon put the DC Universe - and MCU - on notice.
That doesn't mean we're going to see Black Adam taking on The Avengers anytime soon!
We recently got our first look at some sets being constructed in Georgia, but we'll hopefully get to see more revealing photos once filming is underway. At the very least, we can expect an official behind-the-scenes shot to mark the start of production.
The Jaume Collet-Serra-directed movie will also feature fellow Justice Society members Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo). We still don't know who'll portray Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi will play Adrianna Tomaz, aka Isis.
A rumor that WB might be considering a JSA movie did the rounds recently, but that will likely depend on whether Black Adam is a success.
