Dwayne Johnson Congratulates SHAZAM! Star Zachary Levi And Reveals BLACK ADAM's Targeted Film Date
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who is credited as one of the executive producers on WB's Shazam! film, congratulates the movie's cast and crew as the pic soared to the number one slot this weekend.
Taking to Instagram, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson delivered a "very big package of gratitude" for fans helping to make Shazam! "a really big success around the world- the box office success is very healthy and robust, and I want to say thank you to you guys for helping make us #1. It's great that the critics love the movie, it's awesome that we're at 92 or 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, which again, is always awesome."
Johnson goes on to say that he's most thankful for the response from the audience, before stating that the film had a difficult production as it was initially struggling to tell 2 origin stories (for Black Adam and Shazam!) before the decision was made to save Black Adam for his own solo film. Johnson then revealed that Black Adams is a project that's "been in his DNA" for nearly 10 years and that cameras should start rolling in "about a year."
There's a lot more from Rock in the video below as he details the development of Shazam!, so be sure to give it a watch and then share your thoughts in the comment section below.
