The first trailer for Marvel's Captain America: Civil War is not expected to debut until December 18 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so for that reason - and because the studio hasn't thrown any hype behind it - it was assumed we wouldn't be seeing it tonight when Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Well, it's still unlikely we'll see the full trailer - but we'll be seeing something!
Chances are it'll be one of those trailer teases that's become par for the course these days, or at the very least an official announcement of when we'll be seeing the full trailer. Whatever the surprise is, Jimmy Kimmel has become must-watch TV for Marvel fans tonight. Also starring Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.
