CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR '#1 Movie In The World' TV Spot Released

The key stat for Captain America: Civil War's box office performance is its gross in China (the #2 film market in the world). The Russo's superhero slugfest grossed $95.6 million in its first weekend in China, earning slightly more than Avengers: Age of Ultron's opening weekend total. That film went on to earn $240 million in China and $1.405 bilion worldwide.  Civil War's 95.6 million is also bigger than Batman v Superman's entire gross in China.

Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

@HappyHater - Seriously? That's like saying when a really fast runner smokes the competition, that they're showing off.

For them that's just what they do. The same reasoning applies to Marvel Studios, except that their niche is really entertaining superhero films.
