Elizabeth Olsen Talks CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR And Praises Daniel Brühl As "Main Villain"
"I think it's going to be the best," said Elizabeth Olsen when asked about reprising her Avengers: Age of Ultron role as the Scarlet Witch in Captain America: Civil War.
"I think it's going to be the best one," the actress enthused. "For real, I am like very excited to see it myself. I only worked on set for five weeks, so I wasn't there for the majority of it."
Olsen then casually offered praised for her Civil War co-star Daniel Brühl, who plays Baron Zemo in the movie. "Brühl is an incredible actor and he's playing the main villain in it," she assured. "And he's incredible! It's a movie about people as opposed to robots this time. So it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines."
Earlier during the interview, Elizabeth Olsen was asked about playing the Scarlet Witch and being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "She's someone who's more powerful than she's able to control and she ends up going insane because of it," she said of her mutant character. "And she's like a wildcard. You never know [if] she's a hero or a villain and that's a very fun part."
Elizabeth Olsen continued, "Being part of a Marvel movie makes me feel like I'm doing the most top secret thing in the world. It's ridiculous because it's a film, but also it's too bad when people want to spoil things about movies or paparazzi are on set taking pictures of certain things. And everyone then gets to guess what it is that you're filming. And it ruins it for everyone. I was just so happen that in Avengers [Age of Ultron] we were able to keep a lot of things secret so there were surprises for the audience which is great."
