Has Frank Grillo Already Finished Shooting His Scenes For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?
Frank Grillo's 'Crossbones' appears to have been the focus of everyone's attention in the recent set photos taken from the Captain America: Civil War set. However, it appears the actor may be done with filming for the Marvel movie already! Read on for more details...
Perhaps the most exciting thing to come out of last week's batch of photos from the Civil War set was our first look at Frank Grillo in costume as the villanous 'Crossbones'. Evidently filming some sort of stand-off against Chris Evans' Captain America and more than a few of his Avengers pals, this appeared to be one of the movie's earlier action sequences (although there's really no way of telling for sure at the moment). Fans excited to see more of Brock Rumlow may be about to be a little disappointed though, thanks to a recent post from the actor's official Instagram account:
While this isn't official confirmation by any means, Grillo's post appears to signal the end of his time on set. This would suggest that the masked villain will have a somewhat limited role in the sequel. Given the sheer size of the Civil War cast, this is hardly surprising, with most of the film expected to feature the heroes of the MCU at odds with one another - as opposed to facing off against a more conventional villain like Crossbones.
It's also possible that he's just waving goodbye to Atlanta, before moving on to film scenes at a different location. Even so, many fans were excited to see Grillo's Rumlow take a larger role in this movie, having impressed with so few scenes in last year's The Winter Soldier. What do you think? Would you like to see more Crossbones this time around, or are you more interested in watching Tony and Cap duke it out? Let us know in the comments below!
