New IMAX Featurette For CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Teases The Biggest Superhero Fight Scene Ever
Captain America: Civil War features possibly the biggest battle scene ever seen in a superhero movie, and it was shot with the new ALEXA IMAX 65mm cameras. This featurette takes a closer look at that.
Captain America: Civil War has already started opening in a number of international locations and reaches North America next Thursday, and in anticipation of that, IMAX has released a sneak peek at how directors Joe and Anthony Russo brought the movie to life in the format. The movie's incredible 17-minute battle sequence was filmed on the new ALEXA IMAX 65mm camera, and trust me when I tell you that it's downright mind-blowing (the fact that the Russos will use those cameras again for Avengers: Infinity War is also great news). Anyway, check out this cool new featurette below.
Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May.
Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set to be released on May 6th, 2016.
