The 2016 Toy Fair is right around the corner, so it makes sense that Hasbro and Rubies are among the many licensees showcasing some of their products in anticipation of this summer’s Captain America: Civil War. While the latter company has revealed Halloween costumes for only three of Earth’s mightiest heroes so far, the former has roleplay toys for Cap, Iron Man, Black Panther, and War Machine, as well as Titan Hero Series action figures. Thanks to Idle Hands and Buy Costumes, check out the abovementioned Civil War merch.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.

@Mrcool210 - I'm sure there will be tons of Spiderman merchandise, they're just not revealing the costume just yet, let alone through some toys or halloween costumes.

I seriously hate modern kid's Halloween costumes.
The muscle padding just plain ruins it. Stop it.

@Vaportrail - Oh no no no. I love it. The costumes nowadays look so much better than the garbage I used to have to wear with those pain-inducing masks.

Blackface is an outdated and insensitive theater convention primarily used by whites to denigrate and stereotype African Americans and black people in general. This is not blackface.

This is a kid dressing up as an awesome superhero. As a form of wish fulfillment and roleplay that is not only not racist, but proactively quashes racist tendencies in future generations. (Or at least, it is if the kid wasn't just an catalog model. But there will probably be plenty of these kids in real life, so the point stands.) Progress, people. It's a beautiful thing.
