Captain America: New World Order is currently filming, and thanks to THR, we have word on a late addition to the cast.
After previously being rumored to return to the MCU, Liv Tyler is officially set to reprise the role of Betty Ross for the fourth Captain America movie, fifteen years after debuting in The Incredible Hulk.
Tyler only made a single appearance as the daughter of General "Thunderbolt" Ross, as most of the 2008 film's supporting characters fell by the wayside after Mark Ruffalo took over from Edward Norton as Bruce Banner.
However, after the late William Hurt's return as the general in Civil War was followed by Tim Roth (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) and Tim Blake Nelson (who will also feature in New World Order), speculation begun to mount that it may only be a matter of time before Tyler followed suit.
Harrison Ford will replace Hurt as Ross in New World Order. The rest of the main cast includes Shira Haas as Israeli superheroine Sabra, the returning Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, and Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon.
Anthony Mackie will take flight as the new Sentinel of Liberty after taking up the mantle in Disney+'s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Captain America: New World Order is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
