Talking to The Triangle, Chris Evans has revealed more about how he feels donning the iconic suit and becoming one of Marvel's greatest superheroes on the big screen this Summer. Below are a few of the most interesting excerpts, but you can read a lot more by clicking on the link below to hear on over to the site.

On Living Up To High Expectations From The Fans:

At the end of the day, you’re making the movie for the fans. These movies wouldn’t get made if there wasn’t a built-in fanbase. They just wouldn’t. So at the end of the day, your loyalty is to the people who are passionate about these comic books, so you want to make sure that they’re happy, first and foremost.

On Hugo Weaving's Red Skull:

Hugo has a presence. You know, it’s his face; it’s his voice; it’s his body. Everything about Hugo belongs on film.

On The Extra Responsibilities That Come With Being A Leading Man:

In ‘Fantastic Four,’ they only want to talk to Jessica Alba, which is perfect for me, because if I had my way, I’d never say anything. This movie, it’s a lot more demand as far as promotion is concerned, which is scary … I struggle with it at times… But ‘Fantastic Four’ certainly helped break me in to understand the amount that was expected.

On The Suit:

You know, it was pretty intimidating when you first put the suit on. I think I was still a little apprehensive at that time … I agreed to do the movie, but with a lot of nerve. And I think the first time I put the suit on, it was a mixture.

On The Character Of Steve Rogers, Captain America:

I really think it’s about who Captain America is. That’s kind of why I like doing the film. He’s just – he’s got these indestructible values. You know, he doesn’t do the right thing for anybody. He’s not doing it to be praised. He’s not doing it for rewards. He’s doing it because it’s the right thing, and that’s – that’s a really commendable way to live life. And I think that’s something we can all aspire to.

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as Col. Chester Phillips, Stanley Tucci as Abraham Erskine and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

Great Stuff JW!

I can't wait for this movie, Steve "Captain America" Rogers is one of my favorite comic characters and I can't wait to see what Evans does for this part! I have a feeling this movie is going to be a big surprise for a lot of people!!!

Brashlight

Shocker@ I think that is because this is his first big budget leading part and he is probably pretty nervous about it. I get the feeling he didn't want to be a huge leading man but this movie is going to change that for him. So he is staying guarded about it.

That man has some class. Honestly, he was the most fun part of FF and he was great in Scott Pilgrim.

Right now my biggest concern is that this movie isnt going to be faithful to the fans. I'll be pissed if Bucky doesn't die in this film or if Cap is arrogant and more like the dirty cop in his Ultimate incarnation.

@ indoraptor12 I really dont think we have to worry about the dirty cop from ultimates coming through in this film...from the trailers it seems like Steves being played faithful to the 616 mainstream...anyway just my impression so far..

This film is gonna ROCK!!! Can't wait...

Oh and Chris Evans...YOU DA MAN!!!

@ indoraptor12

Dipshits like Fox and Matthew Vaughan arent making this as they didnt care about the fans, so i have full faith this will coz marvel own it.

How was Cap like a dirty cop in the Ultimates ??

Oh you mean like when he beat down Hank ...that made me rofl

@Banekill77

I don't doubt that Evans would agree with you about making a film that is popular with all audiences alike, not just fanboys.

However, I think the point he is making is that without the fans support such a film would never have come into existance in the first place.

marvel72

it should be made for the fans first.

-who made the books what they are today.

-if anyone is gonna see a comic book movie more than once at the cinema,who's it gonna be the genral public or the fans.

they should respect the source & the fans.

@supersomething

Captain America is my all time favorite hero, but I actually liked the Ultimate version because he was more of what I envision a WWII veteran to talk and sound like. Ever run into an actual combat vet? Those guys are all brash and rough around the edges. Once you have been there, you never fit back into the world the same.

Cap should have grit.

Like I always said....make the movie as good as Saving Private Ryan, while including a true telling of Cap's origin.
