A new behind-the-scenes look at Rogers: The Musical has been revealed by Disney as the limited production prepares to kick off its run from June 30-August 31 at Disney California Adventure Park. Check it out.

Rogers: The Musical started out as a fictional musical first referenced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It was introduced in the Jeremy Renner-led Disney+ series Hawkeye (2021), specifically in the fourth episode titled "Partners, Am I Right?".

In HawkeyeRogers: The Musical is depicted as a popular Broadway production that pays homage to the heroic acts of Steve Rogers aka Captain America. The musical reenacts and celebrates key moments from Captain America's life, such as his transformation into a super-soldier, his battles against Hydra's Red Skull, and his ultimate sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame.

While the full musical is not depicted in the series, several scenes and musical numbers from "Rogers: The Musical" are shown, featuring actors portraying Steve Rogers/Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and others. It will be interesting to see how the depiction in Hawkeye compares to the limited run kicking off in Disney in just a few days.

The limited run of Rogers: The Musical is part of the Disney100 Celebration which honors the centennial anniversary of the date brothers Walt and Roy Disney founded the company in 1923

Go behind the scenes for a rare first look at the set designs, plus the dance and music rehearsals for “Rogers: The Musical” premiering June 30th for a limited time at Disney California Adventure Park. See what the action is like on stage at the Hyperion Theater and take a closer look at the Super-Soldier Transformation Chamber set.

As part of the Disney100 celebration at Disneyland Resort, the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure Park presents “Rogers: The Musical” – an all-new, one-act live theater production performing for a limited time, June 30-Aug. 31, 2023. Inspired by the fictional musical number from the first episode of the Disney+ series “Hawkeye,” the real-life “Rogers: The Musical” tells the story of Steve Rogers – Captain America, including his relationship with Peggy Carter. The 30-minute show was brought to life through the creativity of Disney Live Entertainment, in partnership with book writer Hunter Bell and featuring music by Grammy-winning composer Christopher Lennertz.

Yes, let's make a full on production of an in universe musical in which the joke is that the musical was terrible. Oh boy. Can't wait. 🙄

Seriously dont get why expand a musical scene that was designed to be terrible.

On the one hand: This is terrible.

On the other hand: I love musicals and if they should film this and release it Hamilton-style years later on Disney+ than I wouldn't be mad at that.

I think this joke went over their head. The whole thing is that it is a terrible idea and would be terrible.

The Rogers Musical was shit, I sat through all of Hawkeye to get that after the credits scene and it was for more of that crappy musical.

Wow. Such negativity on this thread. I think this is a fun idea, and a logical brand extension for the MCU. But then "CA-The First Avenger" is one of my top 5 MCU movies, and Cap is my favorite character from the movie series, so I'm biased.

@xkot - just wondering, what is it that you find good about this concept?
