The international box office numbers for this weekend are here...As you all know, Green Lantern didn't make enough money in US as many thought it will. It's now on $115 million, and it won't go much higher than that. But, can the international numbers help its gross? The Hollywood Reporter has more info on that, as well as the numbers for Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger, which is still doing solid after almost a month since it was released.

"Debuts in six markets including a No. 2 bow in France ($3.5 million from 480 locations) lifted the overall weekend tally for Marvel Studios’ Captain American: The First Avenger to $12 million from 4,718 venues in 51 territories, and elevated the 3D superhero comic book adaptation’s overseas cume to $147 million. It ranked No. 4 on the weekend. Fifth was Warner’s Green Lantern, which is picking up some steam overseas. The weekend generated $11.4 million from about 4,200 venues in 35 territories. A Brazil opener provided $3.3 million from 352 sites. Foreign cume: $78.6 million."

It seems Cap will make the same numbers as X-Men: First Class, maybe even more. As of now it is on $164M domestic and another $147M from international markets, brings it to a worldwide total of $311M. Film was made for $140M and it is still playing in theatres. Green Lantern's domestic numbers plus $78M at international box office, brings the total gross to $193M. Film was made for $200M and it's also still playing.
