Word got out sometime last week that Marvel Studios had recruited two female screenwriters to tackle the screenplay for the highly-anticipated Captain Marvel adaptation, but it has now been confirmed those two are Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and Disney's Inside Out scribe Meg LeFauve. There was speculation that the two ladies were penning seperate scripts for the studio to later decide which would be developed, a la Wonder Woman, but the press release also confirms that it will be a collaborative effort.  Anyhow, with Angelina Jolie reportedly being considered to helm Captain Marvel, check out the standard screenwriter(s) announcement below!

Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve will together write Marvel’s Captain Marvel, in theaters November 2, 2018, bringing Carol Danvers to the big screen in her first solo cinematic adventure. Fans will recognize Perlman as the co-writer of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, last year’s smash hit introducing audiences to Star-Lord and his crew, while LeFauve most recently co-wrote Disney•Pixar’s next original film Inside Out, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May before heading to theaters June 19.       What do you think?
