Yesterday, the Captain America: The First Avenger screenwriters revealed their interest in introducing MODOK in the planned sequel, while they've also mentioned several other different villains who could be used in past interviews. I asked you guys which of Cap's iconic villains you most want to see him face off against on the big screen, and the results might just surprise you. It seems you're not at all interested in bringing back the Red Skull, and even the Winter Soldier came pretty far behind your top pick...

I'm not too familiar with who Baron Zemo is, but bring it on!

Though I did see him as featured in the newest Avengers TV show.

captain america 2 baron zemo,crossbones & after the credits scene winter soldier teaser.

captain america 3 red skull,aleksander lukin & winter soldier............maybe if you can fit them in crossbones & sin.

most likely this movie will have 2 villians. One in the past, and one in the present. So in the past I would want red skull again in the past & zemo in the present

Just look at that lame list of villains Cap has. He should fight a contemporary non-villain in the sequel which may never happen: THE PUNISHER.

Zemo!! for you who said you don't know who zemo is go to the nearest store that has graphic novels and look at marvel masterworks for the avengers vol1 and 2. Zemo is the first leader of the masters of evil and captain america's arch nemesis. In the original comics it was him who made bucky go missing and the cause of cap being lost in the Arctic for many years. In the first 25 avengers comics he is at least 10 or more.

This shouldn't be surprising to any true Cap fan. Besides the Red Skull, Baron Zemo is Cap's most recognizable enemy.

For those who don't know, Baron Heinrich Zemo was an enemy of Captain America during WW2 and the one responsible for Bucky's apparent death. He also formed the 1st Masters of Evil and fought the Avengers.

After his death, his son Baron Helmut Zemo also became an enemy of Cap and formed his own Masters of Evil. Later, he and his MoE posed as the superheroes Citizen V and the Thunderbolts.

They could easily have Cap face Helmut Zemo in the present with flashbacks to him fighting Heinrich Zemo during WW2.

I'm tired of everyone hating on the comic book outfits.
If you do not like them, then go read something else!

Hawkeye or Zemo's outfits are not any more silly or campy than thor or captain america's What everyone is really hating on is the color PURPLE!!!

Want to see this guy head of one of the main H.Y.D.R.A. bases in WWII but wants more than that, wants to invade the world and try to break free from the Nazi and H.Y.D.R.A. Have his motive to be a king, that's where his crown comes. Would love to see a scene where he's in a hot tub and have his head covered in a purple towel XD

agreed that he's a great villain and the story surrounding him would translate. i agree with those who say it is a tricky costume to translate to a major motion picture.

if they make it into a trilogy, then I say Zemo (and the return of Bucky as Winter Soldier) for the second and maybe the return of the Red Skull for the third film.

I say in 2013 or 2014 have Zemo be the main villain in Captain America 2 and the same year have a Winter Soldier movie and then in Captain America 3 have Winter Soldier be the main villain.

Zemo was my choice too. Like I said on another story, if these screenwriters are set on Modok, they have to change his appearance entirley. Kirby designed some great heroes and villans, the FF, Cap, Darkseid, but he also created some turkeys and Modok is one.
@ComicBookMoron-I had no idea that Cap's rogue gallery was so thin once you get past Red Skull and Zemo.
