Comic-Con is in full swing, and now would typically be the time Marvel Studios is gearing up to steal the show in Hall H with a panel full of trailers and announcements.
Due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, the Disney-owned studio has given a trip to San Diego a miss this weekend. That’s the same for pretty much every major studio, of course, but Marvel Studios has kept one fun tradition going.
Thanks to concept artist Andy Park, a new poster for The Marvels has been released. This obviously isn’t our first look at the Captain Marvel sequel but we’re definitely appreciative of seeing these three female HERoes put front and centre.
Carol Danvers leads the charge and is flanked by Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau/Photon. Each of them is decked out in new costumes, though we'd argue that Cap steals the show with that Genis-Vell inspired suit.
Take a closer look at this poster for The Marvels in the Tweet below.
In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.
When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."
The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.
The Marvels is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 10.
