THE MARVELS Promo Art Offers New Look At S.A.B.E.R.'s Logo, The Villainous Dar-Benn, And More

The Marvels is a little over a month away from blasting into theaters, and you know what that means: more promo art! A huge selection of new pieces has surfaced today, highlighting everything from the sequel's leads to the villainous Dar-Benn and even a cartoonish take on Nick Fury and the Flerkens.

Up until now, we haven't really been told much about Kree leader Dar-Benn, but The Marvels director recently described the villain as "a warrior-scientist turned politician who is hellbent on saving the Kree home planet of Hala and exalting her people to their rightful place in the universe."

As for how the Kree home planet Hala has evolved since we last saw it, the filmmaker added, "In the past and in the present, I wanted to show a technological city. I just really wanted to make sure that each place had a distinct feel, like going to another country. That was really important to me in terms of the design and also in terms of color."

With the Captain Marvel follow-up rumoured to be one of the shortest MCU movies to date, we're intrigued to see whether Dar-Benn ends up being a memorable Marvel Studios villain or one of those baddies we all forget by the time the credits roll.

If nothing else, her using a bangle identical to Kamala Khan's should help further that character's story while addressing some of the mysteries from Ms. Marvel

Check out this new promo art from The Marvels below.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

The Marvels is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 10.

I like how sword is basically just "we didn't think of the long term impacts of disbanding shield so here's an exactly the same organization". Like seriously, what's different about the mcu versions of shield and sword?

If hope not, but this looks like an epic letdown, should be cap marvel 2, instead made into a comedic, road trip, with 2 unknowns that who cares about them, Monica and kamala. They choose a bad guy, no one knows or cares about, gender swapped him and he is already defeated and dead in the comics. Mcu has totally lost their way, follow canon and listen to fans. I will be skipping.

@VictorAlonzo - For your tally, I’m skipping this too. And of the offline people in my life I know, zero are excited about this one.

It’ll earn less than half of what the first one did.

@cubichy - "2 unknowns that who cares about them"

Anyone that watched WandaVision or Ms Marvel cares quite a bit about them, actually.

"follow canon"

What canon? They're establishing canon. The MCU is not comics. Sorry. The comics are still there, though, so you can read them any time!

"listen to fans"

You know that these movies aren't primarily for us, though, right? There are GENEROUSLY 8 million comic book readers in America. You need more audience than that to make a hit movie.

Every Marvels article is a bunch of dudes trying to convince a bunch of strangers that they're super uninterested in a movie none of them can stop talking about

I'm going to give it a shot (like every other marvel flick) but this film just feels pretty average in taste. Anticipating Cap 4 to the MAX!!!
