THE MARVELS Promo Art Reveals New Look At Sequel's Lead Heroes And The Villainous Dar-Benn

The first trailer for The Marvels was released last month, and we now have some new promo art for the Captain Marvel sequel.

There's nothing overly revealing here, though we do get a fresh look at Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) suited up and ready for action. These three look great together, and their team-up is one that's likely to set the stage for a lot of exciting future adventures.

Also taking centre stage here is Zawe Ashton's Kree villain, Dar-Benn. Very little has been revealed about the character but we once again get to see that impressive hammer she'll wield in the movie (you'll remember Ronan the Accuser making use of a similar weapon in both Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel).

Check out this latest promo art for The Marvels below.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau.

Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

Nia DaCosta directs, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Mary Livanos and Matthew Jenkins serve as executive producers. The screenplay is by Megan McDonnell, Nia DaCosta, Elissa Karasik and Zeb Wells.

The Marvels arrives in theaters on November 10.

I’m calling it, this DAR-BENN character looks to be another boring villain.

@tb86 - I think so too. Would be a very nice surprise if it turns out to be one of the better villains though, but it's probably gonna be another Malekith/Ronan/Kaecilius

@bkmeijer1 - unfortunately i also see it that way... throw in Ivan Vanko/Aldrich Killian/Gorr(that one hurts me to say, what a waste)

@MotherGooseUPus - I knew there were more, but the list is honestly (unfortunately) too long. Yon-Rogg and whoever the villains were in Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk are on it too.

That said, I do like Darren Cross and Ghost from the Ant-Man movies a lot. They actually had quite some (almost tragic) depth to them that is often overlooked imo.

@bkmeijer1 - based on that hammer she’s holding I did get a Ronan feel from her. Honestly I wouldn’t mind if she did turn out boring, as long as the movie is good. A lot of the MCU movies that had disappointing villains still turned out good.

@bkmeijer1 - yea i know there are more, i was just thinking of the ones that stick out the most to me, besides the 3 u listed. I hope we're both wrong here....but i highly doubt it

@MotherGooseUPus - would be great to be wrong. Unknown characters are basically a blank canvas to do the greatest things with

Oh come on. Can they do anything to make this villain even the slightest bit intimidating?

I guess they're trying to make her look different from Ronan, but they really need to do away with the CW leather looking suits.

She looks like she's on a catwalk (hot though 👀😍)

It's going to be fun promoting Dar-benn in France as it sounds like "cock-pants" in slang ("dar-" being a bee sting, you can see the analogy). Just "-benn" it's also also a large trash bin on wheels.

The synopsis of this movie sounds like complete nonsense.

I liked the first Cap Marvel movie okay, but this one is sounding more stupid/lousy with each new uodate.

I smell poo.

Cool they gender bent the villain and made her look like a runway model instead of the intimidating looking character from the comics. Another win for feminism
