THE MARVELS Stills Feature Captain Marvel's New Suit, Nick Fury, Skrulls, And Photon Powering Up

After first debuting in the pages of Entertainment Weekly earlier this week, Marvel Studios has officially released those new stills from The Marvels in hi-res and without any pesky watermarks.

As we mentioned a little earlier today, a new trailer is expected to debut at some point in the next few days, though we don't currently have a confirmed premiere window (leaked screenshots, meanwhile, continue to do the rounds on social media).

As for these stills, we get to see Monica Rambeau - another character expected to be a mutant in the MCU - unleashing the abilities she gained in WandaVision, alongside shots of Nick Fury, the villainous Dar-Benn, and Goose.

Elsewhere, Carol Danvers gets to know Kamala Khan and a look inside the latter's bedroom shows off the awesome new design for Captain Marvel's suit. We're sure you'll also notice that Carol is surrounded by Skrulls, a sign perhaps that they'll remains allies following Secret Invasion.

Check out these new stills from The Marvels below.

In The Marvels, Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe.

When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as "The Marvels."

The movie stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton and Park Seo-joon.

The Marvels is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 10.

There's one more photo out there of the three of them. And Carol has this wicked giant star on her chest. Best costume for her my opinion!
It's as good as caps winter soldier costume

I hope this movie is great, because my beloved MCU needs the win.

But I smell a mashed up Crapumania/Eternals kind of muddled mess.

Again, this movie could be twice as good as the first one but do half the box office.

If the movie is bad, they will blame the failure on toxic masculinity like they did with that awful chick Ghostbusters movie.

@DocSpock - If this movie fails, Hollywood is going to have to ask themselves a question:

Are women actually interested in action movies starring a female? Or are men actually the ones who want to see those?

If so, maybe those movies should be made to please a male audience, instead of failing at being "made by and for women".

As for what kind of movies women actually want to see. I don't know, all I know is that all my girlfriend's Netflix were full of Korean Dramas, romantic movies and one was really into Ru Paul and other Queer stuff. Ah and of course Harry Potter.
Nothing wrong in liking all those, but why are we trying to

@Usernametaken -

I hate or dislike all of those things and would never watch them. I was gonna try Harry Potter because of my GrandKids, but I just never did it.

@DocSpock - Well, you're not the target audience.

And it's all about target audience when you try to sell something.

Harry Potter is cool, it has a universal appeal.

There is some great romantic movies too.

@Usernametaken - Bruh, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Black Panther films have been carried by women at the box office.

@DocSpock - This movie is already being review-bombed by hateful racist and sexist and misogynist and homophobic trolls.

I expect a fun little romp out of this film, but the costume and sets and visuals are all looking really great so far and the character dynamics seem meaty. Could be something special.

@WakandanQueen - take a shot every time you expect a fun little romp, lol you must be plastered by now

I’m looking forward to this movie. It should be fun seeing fan worship feom Kamala and Carol’s reaction to it.

I have zero interest in this, don't know or care about photon in any way and Kamala, I liked, but as a show, not to see in a movie. I will be skipping, they need to do something to bring this together, like with the avengers. I don't see any point in any of these stories

This looks like hot, stinking, vile garbage. But it checks the boxes. Gay characters? Check. Black characters? Check. Strong female leads? Check. Gender-swapped villain? Check. Representation? Check!

I wonder if this will perform worse than Flash at the box office.

@DenvertheDino - So you saying if it was only straight white males, it would be a better movie?
EgoEgor

@LiteralSense - That's the thing that's annoying about people like the OP. It's "woke this and woke that", there's no criticism based on merit and execution. These kinds of rhetoric are getting annoying. I feel like movie fandom has reached an all time low with fans like him.

None of the things he listed has any bearing on why this looks like disappointing to me.
