Would Hugo Weaving Want To Revisit 'Red Skull' In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Or At All?
We know the Australian-British actor hasn't been contacted by Marvel to play Red Skull again, but given he previously expressed disinterest, has his opinion changed at all? Find out after the jump!

Hugo Weaving made it clear during an interview last week that he has not been contacted by Marvel Studios to potentially reprise his Captain America: The First Avenger role as the Red Skull in Captain America: Civil War, nor does he know if a different interation of the supervillain will be appearing in the 2016 third installment. However, the Australian-British actor made it unclear as to whether or not he would actually want to play the Red Skull again, considering he declared in 2011 and 2012 that he was uninterested in doing so. Though he'd be contractually obliged if Marvel were to give him the call, Hugo Weaving has informed IAmRogue that, "My views have not changed."
"You never know what might or might not happen," he added. " But my views have not really changed. I certainly have not had any conversations with anyone about that. No change at all on that landscape. I was talking to you about another Matrix, and I doubt that would happen. But there are always circumstances. Certain circumstances do change, and there is always a good reason to revisit or reinvestigate something. It may not be worth following, but it is always good to keep your options open and your mind open. Having said all of that, I have not really changed my opinion about not wanting to do another Captain America. It was fun to do. It was a very great thing to do in many ways, but I suppose my focus is more likely to be elsewhere, but who knows." Fair enough! Speculation has it that actor Daniel Brühl will be playing a different version of the Red Skull, among other major Captain America villains. What do you think?
Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Captain America: Civil War stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Frank Grillo, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie & Daniel Brühl, with appearances by Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson expected. The film opens May 6, 2016.
