CAPTAIN MARVEL Theater Standee Features Brie Larson's Powered-Up Hero & Her Feline Friend

A new theater standee for the upcoming Captain Marvel film has been spotted in the wild, & it features Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) in her red 'n blue costume alongside Chewie Goose the "cat." Check it out.

Carol Danvers' cat may have been given a name change for the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, but thanks to some recent toy images we know there's still a lot more to the little kitty than meets the eye.

The following standee has been sent around to several theater chains, and although the main image of our space-faring hero (Brie Larson) appears to be the same as the one featured on the most recent poster, we do get a new look at Goose down in the bottom right corner.

Whether Goose turns out to be a member of the dangerous alien race known as the Flerken remains to be seen, but it's certainly safe to assume he's not your average, everyday moggie.

Set in 1995, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy's mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds.

Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8, 2019.

I'm not crazy, right? Lee Pace isn't named on this standee just Djimon Honsou is? That seems weird, right?

@NandoStevens - Yeah, Pace and Gemma Chan were at the top of the main poster and now they're not on this standee. That's kinda weird.

@NandoStevens - I think Honsou has the larger role.

@Polaris - Goose is a terrific pseudo-tabby. And seeing Fury as a catdaddy is fun.

The feline actor playing Goose had better get her/his own credit. I'm done with only dogs getting screen credits in films.

You'd think Fury hasn't ever seen a flerken before.
Or a cat.

Off topic:

Just watched Roma, it's probably the most beautiful film that I will NEVER recommend anyone watch UNLESS it is for a film class. Seriously, it is a beautiful piece of art. It is the difference between a MOVIE and a FILM.

But i can't recommend watching it unless you're just looking for a beautiful thing to look at for over 2 hours.
