There are a long list of DC Comics movies on the way, including Suicide Squad 2, Shazam, The Batman, and Gotham City Siren. The latter is going to be directed by David Ayer and Margot Robbie will be reprising the role of Harley Quinn. Rumour has it that she will be joined by Catwoman and Poison Ivy and it appears as if Legion star Aubrey Plaza has a very real interest in taking on the role of Selina Kyle.
Batman-News has sifted through a Reddit AMA with the actress and when asked about a movie she wishes she could be part of, Plaza responded simply with, "i want to be cat woman." We have no idea whether or not she knows Gotham City Sirens is in the works but this would be an interesting choice.
While Plaza may not be how many fans have visualised a live-action version of Catwoman, she looks a lot like Selina Kyle and would arguably be perfect for a version similar to Frank Miller's Year One anti-hero. She's also fantastic at both comedy and serious drama so that could be the right combination.
With no release date and Megan Fox the only (very loosely) rumoured cast member, who knows if Plaza will ever get close to this role! We'll have to wait and see but share your thoughts down below.
