After the recent success of Comic Book’s to film, TV started doing the same formula. What was the end result? A huge success. Comic Book’s to TV started way back in 1966. Yes it was the Batman TV show, while very campy the show is still an awesome ride. About 10 years later ABC decided they should try a comic book to TV show, it wasn’t about Batman but he was a pretty popular character. This resulted into a very successful TV show called “The Incredible Hulk”. After the Hulk, we had a very short Spider-Man TV show and an even shorter Blade TV show. But after the recent success of TV shows like Arrow, Smallville and The Walking Dead, comic book’s to TV could be a fantastic area. So now I count down 10 Comic Book Heroes I think are perfect for TV.

10. Ghost Rider
If you walked down the street and asked a random person about Ghost Rider, they would probably know more than myself. I know nothing about the character, that being said. I think TV is the perfect way to introduce characters like Ghost Rider. Think Supernatural meets Grimm. Now that would be an interesting show. People don’t know who Ghost Rider is, and those who do. They think he is a comic book character who is funny, because well, Cage played him.

9. Nova
Marvel’s Green Lantern. Except he isn’t green. Nova is a cool and unique character, after two separate runs in the comics as Rick Rider we finally have a new person taking up the Nova mantle. While I personally feel Marvel will try incorporate Nova into Guardians Of The Galaxy later next year, I personally feel Nova would make an awesome TV show. Imagine a show with decent special effects, a good cast, a good story. And made by the space god himself J.J Abrams. A guy can dream can’t he? But in all seriousness I think Nova is better fitted for TV.

8. Spawn
After years of trying to get a reboot to Todd McFarlene’s Spawn out of Development Hell. Nothing has happened. Since the films release in 1997, no one has really had the interest to direct or write a Spawn reboot except the creator himself. Like Ghost Rider, I don’t know much about Spawn. That being said like Ghost Rider, this could be a perfect advantage for Image Comics. Making TV shows about characters no one knows is very risky and can fail hard sometimes. I’m looking at you Birds Of Prey! But sometimes if you make a TV show about a character no one knows it can be a huge success. Examples are Arrow and The Walking Dead.

7. Nightwing
Since the ending of The Dark Knight Rises people have come up with theories as to where John Blake goes next. I have my own. But let’s put that aside for a second. Why doesn’t DC make a Nightwing show? set in it’s own universe, The DC TV Universe. Having shows like Arrow and the upcoming Wonder Woman show “Amazon” all take place in the same universe. And if those shows are successful, which judging by Arrow’s success, they would all be huge. A Nightwing show could be a very interesting way to introduce new fans to Nightwing and could explore deeper and darker stories from the Batman mythos.

6. Spider-Man/Miles Morales
Miles Morales has been in the comic book world since late 2011 and has made a big impact. Replacing Peter Parker as the Spider-Man of the ultimate universe. Miles is an African/American teenager. While I personally feel Miles would be much better suited for a TV series than film series and heres why. Marvel/Sony can’t afford a flop. If they were to make a Miles Morales movie it would be a huge risk. It could be one of two things, It could be the next Dark Knight Rises or it could be the next Green Lantern. If Marvel/Sony didn’t want to take such big of a risk. I think they should start small and build up. If they made a TV show, it would introduce the average audience to a new Spider-Man. And would build a huge fan base for a future film. If the show was successful, which I assume it would be. The film would be a much smaller risk.

5. Wonder Woman
As mentioned earlier. DC are planning a Wonder Woman show set before Diana becomes the superhero Wonder Woman. The show would be set in the fantasy land called the Amazon. Like my idea for a Nightwing show. This Wonder Woman show could show fans how cool Wonder Woman really is, she's a hot girl in a skin tight suit. Other than that she really does have some interesting story lines which could only be explored in a TV show if done to detail.

4. The Punisher
Frank Castle has been one of the most successful comic book characters ever, you may not believe me when I say this but, The Punisher has been on the big screen more times than Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Daredevil, Fantastic Four and Gambit. So obviously The Punisher has his fan base. But his films have not really made the impact everyone thought they would. I personally feel a TV show for The Punisher is the best way to go. Punisher has one of the most tragic stories in comics. Sadder than Batman, Sadder than Spider-Man, sadder than Superman. Punisher was just a regular guy, when his family is murdered he becomes a man seeking justice in the world. Thus the Punisher is born. I think a Punisher show could really change TV forever.

3. Moon Knight
Marc Spencer, he has one interesting story. While not matching the drama of The Punisher and Batman. Moon Knight has constantly been called “Marvel’s Batman” Well that is not true. If Marvel were to make a Moon Knight TV show, we could really see how different Moon Knight is to DC’s Batman. One major difference between Moon Knight and Batman is that Moon Knight doesn’t take anyones crap. If someone gets out of line, he will slit there throat. No questions asked. Moon Knight as a TV program could be fantastic and an awesome way to spend 45 minutes each week.

2. Jonah Hex
After the laughing stock which was Jonah Hex the Movie, starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox. I really think Jonah Hex needs a remake. And maybe the big screen is not where Hex belongs. In recent years we have had some weird shows become huge successes. Prime examples are The Walking Dead and Lost. I honestly think if we had the right writers and right cast Jonah Hex could re spark the cowboy genre in a new and unique way. Jonah Hex’s story is far different from your average superhero. Jonah has an emotional story which could actually rival Batman and Punisher’s sad lives.

1. Daredevil
I’ve been saying it for a long time. Daredevil is fantastic. He is one of my favorite comic book characters, but he doesn’t nearly have the best fan base. Daredevil needs something to bring new fans in. And maybe a TV show could do it. Making a Daredevil TV show could explore fantastic story arcs which would never be explored if they had a Daredevil Movie. Comic book stories like The Elektra Saga would have depth and could be explored to it’s fullest. If the Daredevil show is successful enough we could have a Daredevil film taking place in the same universe just set after the TV program like The X-Files. Daredevil has the most potential to be the biggest and best superhero to ever grace the silver screen, all he is missing is the right way to do it.

So who would you guys like to see adapted to the small screen? Comment below and let me know!

Daredevil is easily the best suited for TV, anyone who has read bendis' run will know that his run each issue plays out a lot like a tv show. The thing with daredevil is that Matt Murdock is just as if not more interesting than the daredevil side.

Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Moon Knight.

Punisher would be on a premium network for one season before he gets a makeover and becomes a Dexter-type.

Ghost Rider wouldn't last long - effects are too expensive. Probably for the best.

Don't care about Spawn or Nova or Miles Morales...

Wonder Woman needs a movie before a show. Maybe a spin-off show would be good. After what the suits wanted to do with her in the unaired pilot, I don't think any network should really be trusted with establishing WHERE SHE CAME FROM. After that part's done, a tv series could take it from there.

Nightwing - would be cool, but not cool enough. We'd be getting Arrow mixed with more Bat characters, and Dick would just be Batman in a Nightwing costume. Like Wonder Woman, he needs something establishing beforehand.

Completely skipped over Jonah Hex... oops. Well Westerns haven't lasted very long lately on television, but you never know. I thought the animated DC Showcase was pretty cool, so hell yeah, I'm open for that.

Ghost Rider and Nova are a no! The rest I would watch any day. We need a Heroes for Hire TV show

Any of the "super-powered" heroes (read non-human or having cosmic abilities) are a definite NO! In the case of Wonder Woman it is probably the biggest injustice in all of the CBM's. This character is about a decade removed from being given (AT LEAST 1) big screen adaptation. Especially after the try and fail dogged attempts with Batman and now Superman. If marvel produces a solo movie with Ms. Marvel or even Black Widow before Wonder Woman, I may switch my allegiance.

I really like the idea of a daredevil tv show with Punisher as a regular. Do it!!

Make a Daredevil movie instead, and cross over with a Punisher reboot.

I think Deadpool is best suited for a tv show, not a movie. Same with Moon Knight, Nightwing and Spawn.

Wonder Woman, Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Punisher are best for full length films.

Forgetting about Blade...and heroes for hire. Just sayin'

How about Nightstalkers with Blade, Hannibal King, and Frank Drake. It's basically The X-Files type of show, with the three hunting down supernatural beings and killing them. It would be a brutally awesome on HBO.

Oh yeah! Agreed on that...

The thing is that in a tv show you're in a budget, and when you try to extend that budget, the show suffers in storytelling and the visual effects look weak. I think a question tv show with him solving cases could be awesome and would bring to the spotlight some obscure dc characters. Imagine the rorsharch scene at the begining of watchmen spread through an entire series.

Nova as a TV show no thank you, it just wouldn't work and before some one says Smallville or something that was about him before being Superman, and boy did suffer from budget constraints.

It should be a movie, I know its blasphemous but make Richard Rider younger a school kid, go for a spidey vibe but in space. Marvel Studios has the opportunity to make its own Spidey like movie with a young superhero is it a risk [frick] yeah, Nova isn't a brand name like Spidey but a man can dream.

Nightwing would be really cool.

I'd rather see a DareDevil show though. Punisher making cameos would be badass.

Moonknight could easily be Marvels anwser to CB's Arrow. He's such a cool character with a very Batman like background. He would translate very well on TV. Why can't I get a Moonkight show?

I would love a Punisher tv series. I would love a Nightwing series also. I think Daredevil should be on the big screen just because I like the character. Like introduce Stick and the hand. I think it could be pretty awesome.
