I just have to ask WHY????

I mean, I like AoS and Mockingbird and Lance Hunter well enough, but I don't recall hearing some great outcry about the characters having their own show.

*shrugs*

I like how the writer points out that MCU Lance Hunter is a shitty knock off of Clint Barton.

I hate how MCU Lance Hunter is in a comic where he's a shitty knock off of Clint Barton.

As the first post states. Lance is not making his debut. A little research would help before you made a post.

Lance Hunter is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in Captain Britain Weekly #19 (February 16, 1977) and was created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Herb Trimpe.

Hunter is a Royal Navy Commander who became Director of S.T.R.I.K.E. before later gaining the rank of Commodore[1] and becoming Joint Intelligence Committee Chair.[2] In the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Blood portrays the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the character.

@LEOSTRATOR

Yeah, because there are no male characters (Iron Man, War Machine, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, or Hercules, Hyperion, Gladiator, etc, etc, etc) that are similar to each other.

@Kozmik:

Good attempt, but why bother wasting time trying to reason with somebody who asks "Do she really need a book?"

Bobbi's a cool character who deserves a turn in the spotlight. I just hope they develop her as more than Hawkeye's ex. Making her first line in the first panel of the first page of the first issue "Clint" does not fill me with confidence.

I really don't like it when things like this from the cinematic universe bleed over into the comics...but hey, it might be fun. Seems like they're aiming for a "Matt Fraction Hawkeye" feel.

Maybe I'll check it out.

seriously I am so here to drag @joshwilding over this [frick] up.

like do you seriously even understand the concept or google or wikipedia?

I am 99% sure I even read some copy paste pile of shit article written by josh that mentioned hunter being from the comics back before season 2 dropped.

you know, the kind that gets posted to replace another user's article with the exact same content.

@RexDartEskimoSpy But that first page also makes a big point in her seeing Barton as a mistake to her. Which rather than suggesting this binds her to the character, deliberately sets the tone to a story that looks more to be divorcing her character from her Hawkeye association allowing her to be defined on her own.

Her and Clint have been divorced for years, and even Secret Invasion couldn't erase the very serious and complicated reason they got divorced in the first place.

@LEOSTRATOR Is Natasha Romanov a Super Soldier Doctor with a degree in Bio-Chemistry who graduated at the top of her class in SHIELD field training and had a ..."personal" relationship with Ka-Zar when she was still calling herself SHIELD Agent: Huntress?

I don't really connect with Mockingbird, I like her but....Lance Hunter is borish and played out imo. Him being in the book is necessary to connect the dots with the tv series and all, but if they keep him to just cameos I guess I could stomach the book. The character just seems really superficial and hollow to me. The art looks really nice, I've been picking up the Black Widow books and the art in those is.....ugh. Not to be mean but it looks really rushed. Like the line work/quality is worse then nebezel. But I still buy it! That's on me though. (Black Widow cover art lately is really beautiful)

I wouldn't call her a rip off,tad harsh.
DC/Marvel have that cool competition where there are many "homage" characters.
It's all good fun.
