COMICS: DC Announce Their Next Big Event - CONVERGENCE

Next April, DC are putting their entire line of superhero comic book on a two month hiatus when the events of the Earth 2: World's End and The New 52: Futures End weekly series spin out into Convergence. We'll also meet a brand new villain: Telos.

USA Today report that Convergence will be a nine-week miniseries kicking off April 1st, and will "spill into 40 two-part miniseries in April and May featuring a variety of writers and artists examining the worlds of the DC Universe over the decades, as well as the heroes and villains contained within." The story is described as a "meta epic" by co-publisher Dan DiDio, and involves Brainiac bringing together the populations of all of the multiverse cities he's trapped over the years in an experiment to see what would happen if they were to meet each other. Out of this, a new supervillian named Telos (Greek philosophical term for "end" or "goal") will be introduced. The series is to be penned by TV producer/writer Jeff King, who'll make his comic book debut. More details at the link below.

Nice to see Brainiac getting in touch with his feminine side.

I don't think it would carry the same impact if the announcers yelled "TEEEELLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSS!" whenever a goal was scored.

@Doopie

It would just sound like Antonio Banderas saying "tell us". It would get confusing.

So this is the "blood moon rises" event, huh? Sounds interesting. So pre new 52 verse has continued since Flashpoint. That's interesting. Will this lead to a merging of the 2?

Yes, I hate unending hype. Especially in comics. This, however, looks very cool. Look at the vintage Crime Syndicate! The Charlton characters! I'll be checking this out for sure.

Not really interested in more multiverse events. I'm bored of this.

I had to go back to notice the Azreal Bat's...this could be interesting. I get why both sides need to do this but you do get event saturation after a while
