This Cap's outfit is so much better than the classic! I wish to see it on film someday...

I've never been a fan of Humberto Ramos. His work's too exaggerated for action sequences. It's hard to take these characters seriously when they look THAT 'cartoony'.

i hope they don't over use the new venom like they do with wolverine & deadpool.

I hate the exagetated looks of these comics, it is supposed to be a dramatic scene yet it looks cartoony, even the cartoony look of Tim Bruce on Batman was more dramatic.

RLG: I couldn't agree more. How can you take this seriously as a climactic, dramatic scene when it looks completely silly?

we all wish you would wear a plastic bag over your head, and make it very tight..... do you know what tight is? the opposite of your corn hole

I really don't care for Ramos' art work...get Romita Jr or Bagley on the scene! And please...can Marvel just reverse OMD already?!

Seeing all your comments reminds me why this is just a Comic book MOVIE site.

Honestly best spider-man story I have ever read. (Been reading since 1989, and read alot of old stuff)

@ mitchybaby: Cap is maskless because that is how they will sell you the fact that he will be maskless A LOT in The Avengers film.

That is Caps costume since he came back to life. He is the Director of SHIELD and they call him Captain Rogers. In Fear Itself he becomes Cap again but the Major events are not in order.

The art is great! It is suppose to look more vibrant and colorful. The Story is about a city getting (the very comedic toned hero) Spiderman's powers. Any other style would be too "serious" for a story that is supposed to, not be "serious." I'm sure many of you will express your feelings and opinions......most being wrong....

One of the worst comic book artist in the long history of the medium. Absolute $hat! Looks like it belongs in a childs coloring book.

And the reason Captain America isn't wearing a mask is because Captain America isn't even in this book. That's Captain Steve Rogers - Director of shield. Marvel needs a new Editor in Chief, cause they've been just plain awful with their continuity for a while now. It's been months since he took back the mantle but there are still a number of titles with him still running around in this get-up. No excuses for that. None whatsoever.

@ niknik YES! The continuity is S#!t! P!$$e$ me off! Why can they not get things back in order and how do they plan to really push there shared universe when every release they have is completely out of order....they feel like what the Dragonball z Movies are to the show. A lot of effort but nothing gained because there is no continuity...

Niknik: GREAT point about the poor continuity! That is poor and sloppy editing. A good editor makes sure that a character remains consistent throughout all the books he appears in, or if he doesn't, that an explanation appears early in the story ('takes place before issue XX') to explain the difference.

wow. I didnt know Steve could throw the energy shield. Awesome. this looks good, in a weird way. I guess it because I dig Steve Rogers' looks in his "Captain Steve Rogers" outfit.

Can we all compromise on the art issue?...

Ramos's layouts are bold, his characters' body language exciting.

However, his storytelling is muddy and faces and human anatomy are grotesque and unappealing.

There. Can we all be happy now?
