It took a while for
Daredevil: End of Days to evolve from an oft discussed topic to an actual tangible product that you and I can enjoy but it was well worth the many years of wait. The series' level of intrigue, complexity and precision is something that most
Marvel big events never come close to achieving. I could also say the same for
Age of Ultron, another long-time-coming Bendis project which so far has been a notch or two above other crossover events such as
Avengers vs X-Men and
Fear Itself. In End of Days, there are no wasted motions, every panel has meaning or artwork to bedazzle the eye. Often times, Janson & Sienkiewicz have so many interesting elements in the background of panels that you'll be compelled to spend an extra few minutes taking everything in before moving on. But make no mistake, this is a story driven series that's devoid of knock-down, drag-out fight scenes so if that's your cup of tea then you should probably stay away. I'm definitely looking forward to the ending and seeing exactly what happened to
Matt Murdock. Issue #7 hits comic book shelves April 3rd and the series wraps up May 29th.
