Why the heck does he have claws or spikes on his fingers and feet? He can't have lost the spider power to climb walls, cause that's a physical DNA property, not a mental one.

The silver parts of his eyes aren't eyelids. The new lenses on the Superior Spider-Man costume bulge a little bit, so it's just shadow from the depth on the eyes.

I couldn't agree with you more! I haven't enjoyed the Amazing Spider-Man since before Brand New Day. I kept sticking with it, hoping it would get better (or maybe even out of some kind of obligation?) and then we ended up with the Superior Spider-Man.

The Superior Spider-Man is the first time I've been intrigued by a 616 Spider-Man story since One More Day.

I haven't had a chance to read this yet, I'm waiting for the graphic novel but I'm real want to read this. If M.J. Reunites with Spidey & can't tell it's not really him then I'll know just how shitty this story will be but the rest of it sounds promising. I know people hate how Spidey went out but personally I think it was awesome, Spidey saves the world over & over & over again & he keeps getting kicked in the balls by life so now one of the villains that has caused him the most grief (besides Osborn) gets to go through what he does.

The spider-man and Mary Jane reunited part intrigues me. They better not get them back together then as soon as Peter is back they break them up, because knowing marvel hate Peter Parker and Mary Jane together that's what they'll likely do. Also isn't ock having sex with mj while in peters body technically rape?

@CaptainObvious People should just go read Scarlet Spider, Venom and Ultimate Spider-Man if they want a spidey fix because all 3 of those books are fantatsic, with ultimate being tied for marvels best book with daredevil IMO.

The premise is stupid enough for me to never want to pick up another Spidey comic. It was dumb enough to pull a 'Freaky Friday' between Peter and Otto, then it dropped a new low with the "love scene" between Aunt May, and now it burns off the cliff with Doc Ock as the reincarnated Spider-Man. This is so bad even a Soap Opera would avoid this plot.

can someone answer this question i get that peter died in otto's body, but i remember from my brief spider-man history that otto was able to control his extra arms with some kind of telepathy device. since he is alive in peter's body but still has ottos brain activity wouldn't the arms still be moving everytime he thinks of himself as doc ock. just wondering ?

Because in end of #700 as Peter takes his last breath he says ill be a better spiderman than you, a superior one.
I'm guessing he genetically alters himself to be more powerful than Peter, and that causes some mutations to his body, I bet his eyes are like 2099 and that's why he has thicker lenses.
