100% AGREED. God Humberto sucks hard. Everything looks like a Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. Spiderman and Alpha? Yeah, that has a ring to it. Stupid shit...

Parker Particles, eh? Looks like Pete is stepping up in his genius. And as for Alpha... Oh yayyyyy another self-pitying teen who's jealous of people with muscles because they get all teh womenz. yayyyyyy.

It's not that he needs a sidekick. He doesn't NEED a sidekick. He didn't decide, "Frick, I need help from a kid who needs help!" The kid was on a field trip, and there was an accident (like Spidey's).

A sidekick for spider-man is the stupidest idea I've ever seen

THAT is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Spidey with a side kick?

I dont like the idea of Spidey with a sidekick at all, unless hes not literally a sidekick, just a new hero being shown the ropes a bit. Problem is, Spidey has already done that a few times, so this idea isnt that great to begin with. Either way, Slott is great, and that artwork is gorgeous! Definitely will continue getting ASM.

Stupid, just stupid! They really know how to mess up an iconic comic book, I mean TASM has been going down hill for a while and this is surely going to help speed that process up. I wonder when Wolverine will get a sidekick?

Giving him a sidekick contradicts the whole point of the character Spider-Man is.

Dan Slott is Great!!! Not only he wrote the best spiderman since Stan Lee, he made me love the character again, not only he gave him new direction for the future that no other writers could ( not even Peter David and JM DeMatteis ) but this preview hook me like no others did!! he almost re-wrote PP origin but for a new prospective. Now it's Peter the scientist that created the origin...
I'm looking forword to read it!!!
Hope Dan Slott write one of the Avengers titles once Bendis leave it!

Sounds terrible. Of course, if the story is good, all is forgiven.

Please no sidekick. Marvek has f.ucked up spidey enough in the last 10 years. No one asked for this, theres no reason to do it. In an industry where mass cross overs are like summer blockbusters, and you have to read(and pay for)a dozen different titles just to understand one story line, an additional cahacter is the last thing my wallet and interest care for. There was already a spider-woman, for some reason. Please dont force me to care about this too.

NICE!! I was actually hoping SPdiergirl would be his sidekick/partner of sorts. But this works. It's like SPidey taking a next gen Spidey under his wing.

Whenever I hear the name Apha used in anything it ALWAYS brings me back to ONE Alpha in particular:

I think it's kind of obvious even in the description that this won't be a perfect thing. There seems to be some sarcasm in the line saying "Marvel is celebrating Spider-Man’s 50th anniversary in style as the blockbuster creative team of Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos give Peter Parker his very own….sidekick?"

Maybe it's just me though.

Ugh, I meant permanent thing... not "perfect thing."

I think they should use the word partner seen as how Stan Lee doesn't like the whole sidekick thing, hence the reason Stark calls Rhodey his partner same for anyone who teams up with Captain America.

If they had to give Spidey a sidekick, then why not Miles Morales? Sigh. Alpha? Really? If Marvel's gonna cram a sidekick in our faces, it might as well be Miles. Give Alpha a mask that covers his entire face to at least. :P

I don't know about anyone else but I was hoping Alpha was something else entirely and that the whole sidekick business was something to put Hope(considering what happened at the end of the last New Avengers) into the Spider-Man books to learn from him.

I like his name. It's either a ridiculous coincidence or they've decided to pay tribute to Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in a clever way.

SolidSnake007 - 6/27/2012, 2:46 PM
God, his name is so lame...... Spider-Man is going to have a sidekick and it's not Miles Morales? Why didn't they give him Spider based powers? They could have made his sidekick Anya Corazon... She's pretty cool.

i'm sure it has been said, but Spidey doesn't need a sidekick! that's part of what makes him special/different from teams such as xmen and ff
